How exactly do you use this? Do you just put it in the water tank? If so how is that doing any additional cleaning?

You would use this with the following attachments... -Squeegee -RainJet The design is very low sudsing so it will not over foam when extracting from the floor into the water pan.

Does it need rinsing?

No. It only takes a little mixed with water. I actually reuse the bottle on my Bona.

Can you use this on luxury vinyl tile (LVT) flooring ?

The product does not have any chemicals in it that make for a special circumstance in reference to using. If your flooring is able to take any normal floor cleaner, then this will work also.
