I ordered these A-Zoom 44 Special snap caps via Amazon Prime, and got them in 2 days, great experience as usual with Amazon Prime.I already had 9mm and 45acp A-Zoom snap caps for my S&W M&P pistols and they work great for training, testing, and practice, so I added these 44 Special snap caps to my collection for a S&W Model 29 revolver we inherited from my wife's father/grandfather. Since I've only actually fired this revolver once before it is nice to practice to load, use, and shoot the gun before actually going to the range again. The first time I mainly shot with single action, and wanted to get used to the weight of the double action which is far different from my semi-auto pistols. I know it is much different with the actual kick, but the snap caps help me become more confident and familiar with the trigger weight of the double action revolver before actual real world use without wasting expensive 44 special/magnum ammo.I definitely would recommend these 44 Special A-Zoom snap caps, and any other centerfire A-Zoom snap caps, to anyone who would want to practice, test, or train with a firearm. I bought these 44 Special snap caps along with A-Zoom 16 Gauge snap caps, 22 LR dummy rounds (rim fire), and Pachmayr 22 LR plastic safety snap caps (rim fire) which I will review separately.

Product is fine, but the packaging didn't survive shipping. Envelope arrived re-wrapped, with 5 of the 6 snap caps rattling around loose in the bag. I was lucky to get all 6 pieces.

Used and bought this brand for years for every major caliber, handgun and rifle; they're pretty much immortal.Just a few things:-Noticeably lighter than your average load-Finish makes these dummy rounds feel like they're greased. I have never had a single one of these ever stick-It's 10 dollars for unlimited dry-fire practice. What more could you ask for?

Great way to avoid breaking the firing pins on older revolvers. You can dry fire your gun without worries. I've made my own in the past with dummy reloads and filled the primer pocket with EPDM high density rubber set in silicone but then you cannot tell they are dummies unless you look at the primer. These make life easier and safer.

Following visits to numerous firearms dealers in my area, I was not able to locate the A-Zoom brand Snap Caps in .44 S&W Special caliber. In desperation, I resorted to the internet and found just what I needed via Amazon.Dry firing a weapon without a "snap cap" to cushion to firing pin strike can lead to parts of the firearm wearing or breaking. Localfirearms dealers (including nationally known dealers) revealed only the most common calibers A-Zoom Snap Caps were stocked.A-Zoom Snaps Caps have protected guns in my collection for years......they are the best!
