Did a lot of research as to which brands would provide the best cooling options for very warm Chicago summer environment outdoors and decided on the styling and features of this super cool TechNiche vest with HyperKewel Plus cooling technology and patented fabric materials. This vest is made of very high quality materials and the fit as a "M" works perfectly, not too snug or lose. First time trying the vest it was submerged in water for about 40 seconds, which after trying outside for the first time on an electric scooter, was not enough time to really get the desired cooling effect. Tried re soaking in cool water for about three minutes to let the fibers completely saturate and then carefully rung out the vest so it just barely dripped and WOW what a difference. Firstly, the vest felt at least three pounds heavier and when worn outside it was chilly. (temp outdoors was 87' with 54% humidity). Vest really made a significant difference with staying cool. Felt like wearing a wet towel but only from the outside, since the inner later prevents water from reaching shirt underneath. The only part that does get we are the sides due to the stretchy fabric that holds water.The description on the site shows the older model with HyperKewel fabric but the model I received was the updated HyperKewel PLUS design and fabric. Can't wait to try this in Florida!Note: After wearing the vest I tried to get the water out with my SpinDryer, but it retains the water so well I could not get any out with spinning at 3700rpm. Let the vest to hang and cool and it was really chilly after sitting for about four hours. The evaporation properties of the HyperKewel PLUS fabric are impressive. It really is a cooling vest and an so glad that I picked one up for the hot Chicago summers.Paid $36 for this vest, which is a great purchase price for this tech. Excellent fit with a solid and reliable zipper design. Cooling lasted for 6.5 hours and was still heavier than when completely dried.

The tiny bit of extra weight did not bother me. More, the dampness in this vest trickles down to my shorts and my legs. This enhances the cooling effect on my body.

The media could not be loaded.  I had thought that putting this vest on when wet would be like getting soaked with a giant sponge -- but it's nothing like that. It gets you a little bit wet, but not very much at all. Instead, the water just slowly evaporates and takes your heat with you. (Well, riding a motorcycle in dry heat would make it evaporate more quickly. So the rate of evaporation really depends on the situation.)Of course, you can't use this vest in high humidity. It just won't help. For that reason, I also have a cooling vest that you put in the freezer. That one is super cold and the only problem with it is that it's super heavy. When wet, this vest gets kind of heavy, too, which is something to think about.The only thing I don't like about this silver vest is how short it is. I kind of wish it was 4 inches longer. But that's a small problem. Overall, I'm just impressed with it.Note that if you need to dry it, just hang it up in a dry place and it will dry out. When dry it's very stiff at first, but loosens up after just a little while..................This product was NOT given to me as part of any promotion. I bought it after doing some comparison shopping and this review is entirely the result of my own opinions and use of the product.

The first time I wore this vest for riding my horse it was a 90+ degree day with a slight breeze. The vest worked great. However, the next time I wore it was on an equally hot day with no breeze. Honestly, while I was working around the barn it just trapped warm moist heat between my body and the vest. Once I was riding and got some airflow it did help. Based on this experience, I think it will be great for riding motorcycles because you get great airflow while on the road.

No fit

Best value for warm weather gear. 5'10 180lbs order a medium. Fit well. Slightly loose not tight. Held water great. Slightly moist wearing it but the water wet is better than stinky sweat wet. I ride in TX 100 degree and kept me much cooler and much less sweaty. Didn't keep me cool enough not to sweat in the helmet but was get in the body and core enough my butt wasn't as sweaty either. Rode with it under a textile jacket with vents wide open...If this helps you please like...

Does a pretty good job of keeping you cool for about 1/2 hour in the AZ heat.

Worked great, I put it in a freezer bag and soaked it with water, wringed it out put it on and drove thru the arizona, california heat at 107degrees.. No Problems.. I wore it over a short sleeve under Armour shirt and I put a long sleeve under Armour Shirt over and it kept my core body really cool.. Only had to stop one time and re-hydrate it, glad I got it for my motorcycle trip..
