Cats, romance and friendship
I really enjoyed this story. I have loved cats since I was a kid--I loved that Madison took care of the kittens and adopted Bumper, a special needs kitty. Loved the kitty's name, too, which reminded me of a friend of mine who had a friend named Bumper. I thought it was great that Madison's friends adopted the other four kittens. I really liked the way Madison changed and became a better person (although I didn't think she was that bad before). I also liked Nick a lot. I was so glad when Madison dumped her boyfriend who wanted her to take the cats to a shelter and go on vacation with him, as well as the bad date who wanted to hit Bumper after he snagged his cashmere sweater. This scene made me sad--I hate hearing stories where animals are abused.

A Much Fun As A Box Of Kittens
Labor Day is coming up and here is the perfect last beach read of the season. One woman on the wrong road to success and happiness finds the true path by rescuing four stray kittens.Look, it is what it is- fun, nothing more. A perfect book to pick up, put down, and pick up again. You can see the predictable plot twists coming but that doesn’t make less enjoyable. It’s designed to give you happy, warm fuzzies and it does. There are bad guys who get what they deserve, the hot, good guy who gets Madison, the best friends who each get a kitten (and their own books), and Madison who gets everything a book heroine should get. This is the perfect example of what a 3 star book should be. Read it.

Fun, quirky romance!
When NYC network TV news reporter Madison finds four orphaned kittens while covering the demolition of a sports stadium, she has no idea how the little furballs will change her life, in so many different ways. This book captured my cat-loving heart from the very first page, and I could hardly put it down until I read the last satisfying word, including the "Acknowledgements" where the author credits the two real life cats who inspired this story. It gets 5 stars for the cats alone, but the story made me laugh, cry and touched on most emotions in between! If you like quick, funny, romantic, outside the ordinary chick lit, you can't go wrong with this book! I loved it!

Cute read.
I enjoyed the book and loved the relationship she has with her friends. It was also refreshing to read a romance where they don't immediately hop in bed. As a real "crazy cat lady" I cringed every time the Tortie was referred to as "he." 99% of calicao/tortoiseshell cats are female. That could have used as another way that Bumper is special.

You had me at "cats"
A heartwarming romantic comedy involving cats - yes, the title really did deliver on its promise. I'm a softie who just adopted two fur babies a few months ago, so this book was the purrfect feel-good read for me. I smiled, I teared up, I got to read a story about newborn kittens changing the world for the better. Stories about one good deed paving the way to more and more are my total catnip - who doesn't want to imagine a world where shelter pets AND foster kids all find homes? Everything about this story was just lovely, an excellent comfort read.

Better than I expected
This story of a television reporter who gets stuck caring for four orphaned kittens and is transformed by the experience is fun and fluffy. The story is not plausible, but it is very entertaining. I enjoyed reading about the adventures, the light romance, the strong friendship amongst the four women, the investigative reporting, and the oh so cute kittens. This was a feel good book that held my attention and lifted my spirits. Feline fanciers will truly appreciate this kind hearted tale of redemption and happily ever after achieved with a little feline assistance.

The complete package
This is my first NIC TATANO read but it won't be my last. I love cats so the start was an immediate draw, but this book is so much more. The momentum continues to increase as the story unfolds; the importance of true friendship; conflicting love interests; a political mystery and more, all written with a clear knowledge and understanding that draws the reader in. This is a great story beautifully written.

Meh
Not great: hard to get past the error that the tortoise shell cat is male. (Very rare to have a male tortoise shell.. the vet in the book would surely have commented!) The plot line is more than a bit clunky; and the conceit that taking orphan kittens results in national attention is definitely overblown.

Nice escape reading!
Pure escapism and a delightful afternoon’s read. I will look for other of his books for just sheer pleasure reading. The descriptions of the allthe cats and the people enchant is worth it alone!
