This is a great comb. I've had problems with other wood combs breaking, either because of my thick hair, or from dropping them. This comb is indestructible.

This is truly a beautiful piece. The green sandalwood scent is pleasant. The comb has a nice weight to it in my hands. The comb is perfectly constructed and polished. The tip of the teeth are nicely rounded, so it doesn’t scratch and hurt my scalp. The curved shape is good for massaging my scalp. I trust the craftsmanship of this seller - I got a pair of hair stick from them and they were very well made. This feels like something I will be using for the next decade.

I have fine but slightly wavy hair, yet I prefer wooden combs as they feel gentle on the scalp and my hair don't break as much when using a wooden comb. I have used wooden combs almost all my life but this one is by far the best I have owned. It is smooth overall - the teeth are smooth and hence feels smooth on the hair. The handle is a bit too smooth though and I feel like I might drop it and break it, and so have to hold it very firmly when using it. I don't mind the smell of it, I just hope it is truly sandalwood as it states.

I was afraid that the comb would be small for the (6'6") recipient's hand based on the provided measurements, but it is a normal-sized comb and he assures me it is comfortable to hold and use. He says it is well-balanced, and I agree, as it has a pleasing weight to it.I cannot yet attest to durability, but I wanted to write a review immediately, because this is such a lovely item. It features smooth wood with a distinct flowing grain, worked to a glossy polish.The scent is subtle and pleasant, noticeable when I bring the comb to my nose.I've had this comb in my wishlist (for my partner) for months, and have been doing lot of Amazon shopping. I order mostly functional items, and I don't expect much in the way of looks or quality because I go for the lower priced items just to tide us over. This comb on the other hand is something that we will treasure for its beauty and utility-- I suspect for many years.If you like simple household objects to be works of fine craftsmanship, don't let the low price mislead you; this is a thing of beauty.

I love this comb! Very good at getting through tangles without damaging hair.
