Royal Purple has a surface film-strength 600% stronger than Mobil 1. That may sound like way too much but in the world of micro-chemistry where molecules are all that separate metal parts from shearing themselves apart 600% really isn't a lot when you consider the amount of pressure and heat oil has to stand up to.Final thoughts : It's a fantastic oil one of the very best unfortunately it's very over priced imo and until it's just as cheap as competition Mobi 1 Castrol Edge I think I'll stick with them for now.

If you ever doubt the difference in oils try this in a riding mower. I have 12 acres of grass that I cut on my JD Z425 every other week. I wear headphones to pass the time so there isnt much noise to deal with. This oil reduced the vibrations so much that I was shocked. Its day and night compared to regular JD oil that I have used in the past. You may not notice it as much in a car but the mower will really show the difference.

Great oil, great price. I don't know that it's any better than Mobil 1 synthetic which can often be had for the same price if not less, but I like it and when it costs less than Mobil 1 wherever you are shopping, seems like a no brainer.
