My bathroom rugs were a hassle to wash, they were heavy when wet & my washing machine didn't want to spin because of the weight when wet. Also took forever to dry on the line. These bathroom mats are hassle free

This mat is more like a bath towel than a mat. It would have been better if it had a rubber backing or anti slip to it. It's also very thin material.

The label on it even says its a towel. Total con.

I’m a bit disappointed. I thought a bit thicker. Looks like a towel for me, but bath mat. Anyway the material ‘s so soft and absorbing fine.

I am a fan of Penguin Home - but the brand can be a little hit and miss. This set of 2 bath mats made in Pakistan is extremely attractive in a dark, charcoal grey shade and is very much a hit with me. A good size at 86x56cm/22x34", these mats are thin like towels as opposed to the thicker, fluffier types you can buy. If you have a smaller sized bathroom or en-suite, these could be a good choice as they'll be visually proportionate to smaller rooms and are likely to be thin enough to allow a door to open over them - but I like them so much I think they'd work well irrespective of the size of the space.Just like towels, these mats need to be washed prior to use to improve absorbency. In soft 700gsm 100% ringspun cotton, they're properly edged and well made with good stitching. The only detail is an inner plain rectangle within the mats as the online pics show. Such simplicity gives a chic, minimalist effect which I prefer.Easy care as towels, these are machine washable with a low tumble dry if desired. I tend to choose bath mats with rubberised anti-slip backings as a matter of course. However, I'm very happy with these mats as they don't slip at all on my tiled bathroom floor and, as I have dark towels they can all go in the wash together. Good quality and great value, I'd recommend this Penguin Home bath mat duo.

Having worked in a hotel before I never understood the meaning of 'hotel bath mats', as they feel just like ordinary towels. Completely different from the ones we use at home, with antislippery side.That said, these feel ok, but not great. For the price and judging by picture I was expecting better quality.On a positive side, they are soft and thick. They absorb water well. Love the grey color, it feels more practical and so much better than hotels standard white bath mats.But if I would have seen them in the shop with same price tag, I would just pass by and wouldn't buy.
