I used them to make vanilla extract. I bought a bunch of different beans from different sellers and the bottles that have these in them are much darker already that those in which I used the other beans. The bottle on the left is what I put these beans in.

EXCEPTIONAL QUALITY, incredible aroma and flavor
Fresh, delicious, vacuum sealed package. I don't know how its possible but you can smell the vanilla even through the plastic from quite a distance away. Pretty amazing! I used half of the beans to make vanilla extract and the other half, I put in the dehydrator for a short bit to pull a little moisture out of them, cut them up and put them in my vanilla mill so I can have fresh vanilla sprinkles on cereal, yogurt, granola and baked goods. Very happy with my purchase. Here's a great vanilla extract recipe from thekitchn if you want to try it yourself:Homemade Vanilla ExtractIngredients3 to 5 vanilla beans8 ounces alcohol such as vodka, bourbon, brandy, or rum→ General Rule of Thumb: Use 3 to 5 vanilla beans per 8 ounces of alcohol and multiply accordingly if making more extract.Instructions Split the vanilla beans: Split each vanilla bean in half lengthwise. If you like, you can leave an inch connected at the end of the bean for an attractive presentation. You can also chop the beans into smaller pieces if necessary to fit in your jar or bottle. Place the vanilla beans in a jar and cover with alcohol: Place the vanilla beans in a clean jar or bottle. Cover them with alcohol, making sure they are completely submerged. Cover the jar or bottle and give it a good shake. Infuse for at least one month: Store the jar or bottle of vanilla beans in a cool, dark place for at least one month, shaking it from time to time. Taste the extract and let it infuse longer if you want a stronger flavor. Strain it if you like: You may wish to remove the vanilla pods and decant the extract into a pretty bottle. The little flecks of seeds can be a nice touch, but if you want a clear extract you can strain them out using a coffee filter. Or leave the pods in the extract: You can also leave the beans in the alcohol and top off the bottle as you use the extract. Eventually all the flavor will be extracted from the original vanilla beans, so you can periodically add fresh beans as well as leftover pods that you've scraped for other recipes.→ Uses for spent pods. You can also make good use of the spent vanilla pods by drying them and then making vanilla sugar or flavored salt.

While the aroma is great from these vanilla bean and they are supple I am disappointed with the quality. They were not as pictured meaning you don't receive 10 equally sized beans as pictured. Furthermore some of the beans weren't anywhere near the size they claim them to be. In fact some were extremely thin and about only 3" long. I thought I only received 7 beans and then realized that 3 of them were so small they were stuck to another bean and when I pulled it free I found it to be inadequate. I understand there are various grades of beans but these were a disappointment for the price chargedand the picture is misleading.I will not buy from this vendor again, I'll try someone else in the future.

Order came promptly and it was packaged in a vacuum sealed bag. The beans were moist and smelled great. The problem I had is 3 or 4 of the 10 beans were really substandard in my opinion. I started making my own vanilla extract about 15 years ago. Beans have become more expensive and smaller over this time period. This last batch is the most I’ve paid for beans, and I feel the most substandard in quality. I don’t mind paying the higher price, if that’s what the market dictates, but I do expect the quality of the beans to match the higher price I’m be asked to pay.

I'll never buy a bottle of Vanilla again.
I purchased these, as I got a recipe to make my own Vanilla extract. I love the fruity vanilla bouquet of the Tahitian grown Vanilla beans. Vanilla extract is very expensive, and it is an expensive outlay to make your own, but you get your money back very quickly, depending on how much you use it. These beans are long and loaded with vanilla seeds. I have made one batch of Vanilla Extract and it should last 2 years, with a ton of baking. I was surprisingly happy with these beans, they taste delicious. My husband asks me frequently, "What do you do to make everything you bake so good?" That's my secret.

I was robbed!!!
These are the smallest vanilla beans I have ever seen...one was not even 3 inches long. NOT Happy at all with this purchase, I was robbed! I would NEVER buy from this seller again.

The beans were smaller than shown in the listing, although were to specification for size. They show larger beans than sold.

Nice beans
Vanilla is my thing. I adore it. For a long time I have used Madagascar bourbon vanilla bean paste for my baking, which is wonderful. However, I wanted to infuse sugar, etc. so purchased these. The aroma is fantastic, and I am hopeful the sugar will turn out lovely for holiday baking. I'm also extracting some in oil for body care products and alcohol for baking, though I can't imagine giving up my madagascar...
