This 2-CD set is outstanding in every measurable way! It includes MANY great selections which are generally not available unless you are inclined to pay a lot of money for other pieces which you do not particularly care for. Included, among others, are Mouret's Rondo (Masterpiece Theatre Theme), Bocherini's Minuet in A, Clarke's Trumpet Voluntary, Massenet's Meditation from Thais, Delibe's Flower Duet, Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana, Addinsell's Warsaw Concerto, Waldteufel's Skaters' Waltz, Ippolitov-Ivanov's Procession of the Sardar, Ponchielli's Dance of the Hours, Alfven's Swedish Rhapsody, Kobolevsky's Galop, Gliere's Russian Sailors' Dance, Orff's O Fortuna and many other delightful picks.These delights are not offered up by a bunch of obscure musicians, either. Represented on these discs are the likes of the Berlin Philharmonic, the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, Academy of Saint Martin-in-the-Fields, the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Royal Philharmonic, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, the Eastman-Rochester "Pops" Orchestra, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and several other equally notable groups as well as conductors and performers like Karajan, Marriner, Neeme Jarvi, Kiri Ti Kanawa, Lynn Harrell, Bernstein, Rodzinski, James Levine, Dorati, Fennell and a bevy of other brilliant performers.The quality of the sound on these two discs is magnificent. The mid-range price makes this set a must-have bargain! If I could give it more than five stars, I would not hesitate to do so. Highest recommendation.

I would not consider all of the selections "One Hit Wonders". For some strange reason, ome of the music is very loud.

Two songs on this CD are ones I had been looking for. And two I had never heard - bonus!
