Best Babka Ever !!!!!
Tried every brand and so syrprised to see that this thick slices of chocolate babka is far superior and so much more delicious in flavor and texture than all others including Sterns that we used to think was the bedt but that was because we were used to it and the advertising tells us that - not so !Reisman's sliced babka was the sleeper surprise ever and will now only buy this brand babka.(so excellent that our many guests thiught it was homemade)

So I Made a Huge Mistake by Ordering This
I ask you, BEG you to read all of this review. Because I have to share something with you. This was my first time ordering a Reisman's Bakery product from Amazon. I thought I knew what I was doing, but I was wrong. I thought that by ordering just ONE chocolate babka, I was doing myself some sort of favor. When I should have ordered HALF A DOZEN of these incredibly tasty pastries. You think you know willpower? You don't. Not until you've enjoyed a slice of this sweet, twisty dough loaded with swirls of decadent, rich chocolate. You enjoy a warm slice, and then you carefully deposit the rest of the container someplace out of sight. "Once slice is all I need. I can save the rest for tomorrow."No. No you can't. And no you won't."Addictive" is a word that doesn't begin to describe how amazing this cake is. Perhaps there are those of you out there who can enjoy a slice of this sweet cakey goodness with a hot cup of tea or coffee, and you're content for the rest of day. I envy your strength. I enjoyed a slice, indulging myself even without a beverage. I tried to tuck it away in the pantry, convincing myself that I would simply tell my Wife the whereabouts of the babka later, and touch no more of it....So five minutes later, I'm holding the open container in my hands, basking in all of it's sweet, spiral glory. And ask I'm enjoying a bite, our toddler strolls into the kitchen to show me something. I freeze. As she begins to speak, the wheels slowly start to turn in her head. "What's that?" It's cake. "Can I try some?" Now, what is a man to do. Yes, I love my Daughter more than life itself. But how do I enable her at such a young age? Once she gets the taste for it, there's no turning back. I've already spared her from rugelach, yet now I've been caught in the middle of a fix. I hand her the other half of the slice. "Mmmmmmmmm" she mutters between hurried little bites. I slowly reflect on what I've just done. Okay, the cat's out of the bag, let me go share it with my Wife.Company is over. My Wife is entertaining guests, another couple we're friends with. I hand her the babka, explain to her who made it. She takes a bite, and her entire expression changes into that of pure bliss. Our friends that are over bear silent witness to this exchange. My Wife hands a piece to her friend, who takes a bite, and can only regain her senses enough to say "wow." She hands the slice to her boyfriend, who also indulges. Good, this is good. They're sharing the same slice. More babka for me. We'll still have some by tomorrow. It's now morning. The babka never made it through the night. Perhaps there is a babka detox somewhere out here. I'll never know the answer to that. Because I just completed an order for Reisman's for three more babka, chocolate rugelach, raspberry swirl rugelach, and a poppy seed roll. The last time I ordered, Amazon said the delivery would take weeks (it took three days). So like any responsible, rational human being, I will repeatedly go to the window every afternoon for the next few days. Glancing through the blinds, waiting for the mail carrier.Do not order just one. DO NOT order just one. You will be jonesing for babka with no place to get your fix. Order at least two, so that you've got something on standby for when the first babka is no more. I normally don't recommend ordering baked goods from Amazon, or online bakeries, but this is easily an exception. So add it to your cart, place your order, and see for yourself why this babka has so many positive reviews.

Great babka
Moist & delicious! Sweet but not too sweet. Nice chocolate flavor. Best I've had in years.

Not One of My Favorites
attended a superior "husband school," somewhere out there used to respond "not one of my favorites,“ when what he meant was , " gag me with a pitchfork," and never expose me to that toxic waste again. So here it is. The ingredients and process are quality. The texture is excellent. That said the sweetness is overwhelming for my taste. This confection screams to be accompanied by coffee. I no longer drink coffee. So as a well executed European type pastry I must give it five stars. Personal taste, not so much. Value for money is good. Quality ingredients and execution.

A Reject
Usually these cakes are very good. Must have got one that was in reject waiting to be dumped.Sadly cake was dry and on reject table.Knowing it is kind of a hassle to return, so I chopped it all up and fed kit to the wild birds, they loved it.

Excellent dessert for dairy free options
I have a member of my household who has a dairy allergy and I'm always looking for something delicious for them. This and many of the other Resiman's Bakery offerings definitely fit that bill! Everyone loves them and if there's a babka out on the counter, it does not stay there long. Fresh, excellent quality, the chocolate is great, and it makes everyone happy.

Top notch!!
Their chocolate babka is fantastic! Completely irresistible; just like their rugelach! This cake is dense rich very moist fresh and very heavy on the chocolate. It is great gift idea and thankfully no nut allergy to worry about. Get one! No get a couple!
