Reliable, easy to use machine. Easy to program.
I read reviews for like 20 bread machines before getting this one- the price was good (as there was a discount) but some of the reviews were kinda negative so I was worried.I love this machine. I have been using it for two weeks, and I absolutely love it. It is so incredibly easy to use, you can accommodate small, medium and large loaves, it's easy to clean, the ceramic lining on the pan is easy to care for, they give you a little hook thing to get the blade out of the loaf... I love this machine.I don't love the manual so these are my suggestions:- read the manual and think "who the hell wrote this?" like I did, but at least you will get the important bits you need to know. There are two books- one does recipes and such, one explains what the different programs are for and how to do the settings.- ignore the tables and recipes in the book. Im not kidding.- Get a good bread machine recipe book and don't look back.Other tips if you have never used a bread machine before- Water should be about 100 degrees F or it won't help activate the yeast. If you take water from a kettle just before it boils, put it in a metal or pyrex container, add about 8 ice cubes and when you can feel the water is "very warm" to touch, it's about 100. Or use a food thermometer.- don't let the salt touch the yeast- use different measuring spoons. Salt kills yeast.- Measure your flour by weight, not volume- if you measure by volume, you have to sift it or your bread will come out like a lead ingot.- when you put ingredients in, it's usually fluids on the bottom, flour on top, make three holes in the flour- in one corner hole put your sugar (or honey or agave), put salt in another corner, and in the middle put your yeast. Note that yeast will not activate with a sugar substitute, so if you want "lo cal bread", look up a special recipe.Hope those things help- from reading some of the reviews I think some of the problems attributed to the machine were more about the process. But the book doesn't explain these things, so, that's why a *good* bread machine book is a fab idea.- for richer bread, use milk instead of water, or add milk powder to the bread. If you use milk, warm it but don't let it boil. It should be about 100dF- About 10 mins before your bread is due to be finished, brush it with butter for a lovely looking top.- Dust the loaf in flour as soon as you get it out- it only takes about 1 Tablespoon- it just makes it look nicer.- Let the bread cool on a bread rack- do not put it in a bag or airtight container until it's cool or the loaf will get soggy.

Couldn’t be happier
I recently purchased this bread maker, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. This appliance has truly transformed my baking experience. The bread it produces is consistently delicious, with a perfect crust and soft interior. What I love most is the convenience it offers – just add the ingredients, set the timer, and wake up to the aroma of freshly baked bread. It's also versatile, allowing me to experiment with different types of bread, from classic white to whole grain and even gluten-free options. Cleaning is a breeze, and the machine's durability has been impressive. If you're a bread lover, a bread maker is a fantastic addition to your kitchen that you won't regret.

Makes bread...simple!
Had this bread maker for 8 weeks now and used 2 to 3 times a week. Don't think it's as good as some of the bread I used to make by hand but it's consistently pretty good and easy. I have had to amend the white and wholemeal recipe to only 1 tsb sugar and 3 tsb olive oil (instead of butter) and this seems to give a crust that isn't as hard. Shame there was no fruit or nut bread recipe but found these in an old other make of breadmaker my sister used to have which works. After the 1st bread the mixer blade stuck on the mixing bowl so i left it and so i dont get the issues of the blade being in the bread. I like the ceramic coated bowl rather than the normal non-stick covering. I didn't find the instructions too hard to follow. Like it and would recommend.

Mixed feelings about this bread maker- can't fault the customer service
Pros: Strong stainless steel body, easy to clean. Useful little viewing window. Cheaper than Pansonic. Ceramic pan & paddle.(although is still sticks in the bread). Shorter cooking time than some machines. Loud buzz to tell you cooking has finished.Cons: If you haven't used a bread maker before, the instructions are rubbish. You need to read it to few times to understand the strange English. The ingredients suggested in the recipes are certainly not what you would expect to make a good loaf, eg: 2 tsp sugar is usual but not 2 tbsp, 4 tbsp in a wholewheat loaf. Standard white bread does not use an egg.The controls are very sensitive, miss slightly and the machine is very quick to start & difficult to stop to correct & start again.Loaf sizes are misleading. The largest loaf size is not 1000g. The most flour you can use is 500g and you get a medium size loaf.I most frequently make loaves with white spelt flour or a mix of white spelt & rye flour. Both usually make lovely brown loaves. With this machine, both finish a very pale unappetising colour, nowhere near brown. I have been using the Wholewheat program as it cookes the longest. There is no facility to change the cooking time, but you can extend the time after the original program has finished. However, although the loaf is pale, it is cooked & any further cooking would make the crust much too hard. I would suggest that the cooking temperature of this machine is not high enough.I'm not a novice, this was my 5th breadmaker, and I had high hopes for it. I am sorry to be so disappointed wth it, but these comments are how I have found it.UPDATE:After I posted this review, the company's customer service dept contacted me. My machine clearly had a fault with the heating element, and they have refunded me. I couldn't have asked for better service.

Works just brilliantly
Fantastic machineThe photo is not good but the first self made bread is just gorgeous.Easy to follow recipes and instructions, tried a few different ones in the meantime, none disappointed so far. It's just nice to have a bread of your "taste of the week"I gave 5 stars for the timer though haven't tried yet but expect to be just as perfect as the rest.
