Cheaper than other dashcams, so light but it works
The media could not be loaded. A few years ago, such dashcams would typically cost $100-$200. Recently I came across this and was surprised that dashcams these days have dropped drastically to cost less than $50. I was initially skeptical about this, but got it anyway since it is so cheap. My disclaimer first, I already have a built-in reverse camera, so I only used this as a dashcam to record the front view. I did not connect the rear view camera. The instruction manual provided some comprehensive instructions about how to use it, the English in it is not perfect but understandable. I am lazy to go through all of it, so I just learn how to use this camera by pressing around randomly. 1 thing that is less than ideal is that, the screen is not a touchscreen, so all the interaction takes place using 4 buttons,1) ok button, 2) menu button 3) up 4) down . To switch between "record" and "playback", press and hold down on the menu button. So that's basically it, the interactions are very simple. Menu has lots of settings to tinker with, but the default settings look fine to me. So the lack of a touchscreen and iOS-like interface is the reason why this dashcam is cheaper than the competition.1 Plus point is that, the dashcam turns on and off automatically when the car engine is on or off. When the dashcam turns on automatically, it starts recording, so there is really never ever any need to interact with the camera interface once it is properly installed.According to the manual, the dashcam automatically detects a collision and "lock" the video file so that it will not be overwritten. Of course after you go through all the insurance claims, it is possible to unlock the video file to delete it. I got this dashcam after a recent minor bump but have not encountered another bump, so I am not 100% sure whether this auto-collision-then-lock-file feature works as it claims.Another feature is during your driving, the dashcam saves the video file every few minutes. It can be configured to 3 minute or 5 minute. It does not seem to allow continuous recording into 1 big file. I am not sure which is a better way, whether to have your drives recorded as multiple video files or single big video file. I think those self-driving car enthusiast who wants to record their drives to train their own self-driving car, might prefer to have the video as a single big file. So this is probably not suitable for self-driving car experiments. One final point which I think is important, I usually do not like suction mounts on the windscreen because it tends to fall off after some wear and tear, especially when it has to hold a heavy phone. But this dashcam is so light that I think it will not cause the suction mount to fall off.

PROS and CONS....
The "PROS": 1. Packaging, included accessories, and adjustable video quality seems to be above average. It offers a camera lens facing the hood of your vehicle, one that monitors the inside of your cab, and also comes with a additional camera to be installed and mounted near your license plate to monitor traffic/tailgaters/idiots that are behind you. And that is an added advantage if you already have an aftermarket "in-dash TV" previously installed (for the record, I recommend using either Pioneer, Kenwood, Sony, Alpine, or Eclipse in regards to having/buying/installing a quality "in-dash TV/CD/Radio" ) because it's as simple as plugging it into the back of that unit, hiding the wires (however that's not always as easy as it may sound-depending on the vehicle you're in), and hittin' the road. It even comes with a little tool used to carefully tuck the wire behind plastic crevices in your vehicle as well as a few adhesive wiring clips (to assist in securing the wiring so it's not easily visible and likely in the way), And also it comes with a 64GB "mini-SD" memory card, is easily accessible (when navigating through the settings internally and the initial setup process-which was a piece of cake even for those who have no clue as to what they're doing-(me being no exception lol), And lastly it also offers motion sensing activation, and loop recording in a selected amount of intervals (5 mins each, 10 mins each etc...-and that is so when you go to review footage, you don't have to sort through one long giant video lasting several hours, instead you can find your recordings easily in 10 minute intervals (my selected preference, personally, although it's entirely up to you which you'd like to use). Now with that being said....The "CONS": The user buttons often stick when you push them, it only came with three adhesive wire clips that I previously mentioned above, leaving you with needing additional wire clips to secure the rest of the power cord wiring, And also does not include a mounting bracket for the rear camera to be installed near your license plate (At least mine did not include a bracket anyways and maybe it's just me, and in your case, I hope so), And lastly, (And this almost isn't even worthy of being considered a con because I guess at the end of the day it's not that big of a deal but just something I wish was included but wasnt) - I wish that it would have come with some sort of a window decal that might thwart potential criminals who lights be looking to steal something from inside the car or even damage the vehicle etc....or something like that, ya know? But I suppose it wouldn't be very difficult to simply order one online that says what I want it to say so again it's not really that big of a deal at the end of the day. Would I recommend buying this dash camera? Yes I would So far I'm satisfied and have no other complaints. However if that changes for any reason, I will return to this review and update it so other people are aware. Good luck!

Great for the money.
I had someone run a red light which ended up totaling my older truck. Luckily there were plenty of witnesses that stopped, as well as the other driver openly admitted it.But that put the fear in me. It can happen in an instant and it may be your word against theirs. This thing doesn't lie!Excellent picture quality. Plus we have fun when on a road trip going back and looking at part of the drive. It's pretty cool to see. I don't normally save them, unless there was something we wanted to see again.I bought it over a month ago, and it is working strong. I have not played with the parking feature, but I do let it run all night. Luckily I have a Silverado which does not shut off the outlet. It's like having a security camera in my driveway (if they don't take the truck or camera that is!).But, a guy ran over my mailbox and this thing caught it. He did stop and left his number etc (kuddos to honest people still in the world) with my neighbor as I wasn't home. But I did go back and check the footage just to see.Great little camera.

Stopped working after 3 months
Don't waste your money or time. I bought this a while back when it was on sale. Just recently installed it 3 months ago and now it won't record. When I needed it for a long trip to Utah, it stopped recording 1 hour into an 11 hour drive. Tried formatting it several times. Tried different sd card. Tried formatting it thru my laptop. NOTHING. Just won't record. What a load of crap. My last dash cam lasted 5 years before it died.
