Good as a ring stretcher; reduction no so much
After reading multiple reviews on this and other similar items, I decided to get this for stretching purposes only, and it works great for that. As noted, the included reduction dies are not polished and I'm not sure if they're even ground right. So, going in knowing this, I decided to also order a replacement die from Durston- about $50. Won't fit this reducer, but I use it in a 6-ton hydraulic press. If you go for it, just be informed and don't expect to do any reduction with it.

Machine is fine, Company selling it is Top-Notch.
Ordered this item for my son. It arrived defective, essentially unusable. Noveltools requested that I return it for a refund. However, my son had a bit of a deadline and I didn't want a refund - I needed a machine that worked. So, I had it fixed at a local machine shop. The original defect in the unit was an anomaly beyond the control of Noveltools, but in the course of communication about the issue, they voluntarily refunded to me the full cost of the repair! My review? The unit now works as expected, after a minor detour - so that's all good. Beyond that, I would absolutely buy anything I needed from this company without hesitation or concern - even if it were to arrive defective! Excellent job, Noveltools. Thanks guys.

Very good quality for a low price
I have had this ring stretcher for about 2 months and used it many times. It stretches the band rings I make very evenly with minimal marking to clean up on the inside of the ring. The mandrel markings are fairly accurate, but to be sure I use them as a ball park estimate and begin measuring size on my mandrel as I get close. I have not yet used the rounding/reducing cups on the bottom, but they are smoothly ground. Very good quality for a low price, and from what I can tell, it seem this is a better quality tool than others for a similar price.

For the price awesome but the sizes are NOT acurate
For the price awesome but the sizes are NOT acurate, so you’ll have to check between sizing on a mandrel the actual size

So far it's a great tool.
I wanted to start making coin rings. I figured I would keep my initial small while I learned in case lost interest. Seems to be a well made, good functioning tool, and it's done everything I have sought to do. Keep in mind I am very much an amateur but have achieved great results on my first few rings.

Not good, but usable :(
The ring reducer is machined so roughly that you could not reduce a ring without damaging it. After several hours of sanding and buffing it is usable. The rest of the unit is not of the quality that I expected, but it is usable. I would not make this purchase again.

Save yourself some aggravation stay away from this poor excuse for a ring stretcher reducer. What a mess
Received the Ring Stretcher Reducer 6 Spline Mandrel Enlarger today and was totally disappointed. The packing was insufficient due to the weight of the unit. After assembling the parts noticed the center pin that holds the reducer die plate to the body had busted out some of the casting. The plate that holds the mandrel had a big gouge in the steel. The reducer dies are so poorly manufactured when I tried to reduce a coin the the coin would get stuck in the reducing die. The die plate has ridges in it and not drilled straight leaving burs. I have spent more than 6 hrs sanding and polishing, and have not finished as of yet not counting the expense of the buffing pads and abrasive pads. I could go on and on obviously there is no quality control. What a pice of junk. Does not rate not even one star.

Strong tool!
Looked at a lot of stretchers and picked this one. After reading about the problems with other ones, I took it apart first thing. Cleaned and greased it.Very strong and have had no problems. I am 200 pounds and have put all my weight on the handle and no problems. Love it!
