Combined old and new part to make it work.
To work on my bike, I swapped the base (Much different than new one). Then, so I didn't have to cut and splice wires, I transferred old bulb socket with the pigtail wire and it plugged straight back into the factory harness. For me it was worth the $50 + savings.

The base didn't fit the original hole, but the signal fit the original base
I inherited this bike from my brother-in-law. He wreck it taking out both front signals. This item had a flat base and small bolt where the original base was angled and had a large bolt. I was able to disassemble the new part and amend it very easily to fit the old base. Then, I just needed to solder the wires to the original pigtail and everything worked great.This is a 2006 DL650 v-strom.

Title includes front turn signal. Not a front turn signal. Even as a rear doesn't fit 2005 DL650.
