I gave it 5 stars, though one small issue. If used as a speaker phone, the microphone could be better.However, we purchased it for our daughters room at use as a night like and to play kids music from the microSD card / bluetooth, so it works great for those features. AND, it's very loud and clear sounding, which is great!

Disclaimer: I was sent this item in exchange for an honest review.I had a very specific purpose for this device; a nightlight/mp3 player for my nine year old son.Let's look at the physical aspects first.It comes in a very nice, attractive box. The unit itself is very aesthetically pleasing and feels durable and well built.As you can see by the pictures, the speaker grill is on top. The lighted portion encompasses most of the body and is lit all around.Along the bottom ring are three buttons - which act as your basic "bluetooth" type controls; controlling track selection and volume (in shared buttons) and a play/pause button. On the back of the bottom ring, you'll find the microSD card slot at a standard microUSB plug for charging (charger not included - but almost any standard phone charger will do).On the bottom you'll find a non-stick ring along with three buttons; a mode, timer and repeat function.An instruction manual is also included - and is remarkably helpful (for a change) on learning the operation of the device (pictures included).Actual device operation is pretty easy. The PLAY button is also the power button. The unit speaks to you with voice cues telling you what you are doing. This makes it easy for even a kid or older person to use. My son has it down pat.I did not test the "phone" bluetooth capabilities of the device; mostly just the microSD card playback of music. Unfortunately, it defaults to "bluetooth mode" and doesn't remember the last mode you used. This is my biggest complaint with the unit and I wrote to the manufacturer who assures me that it is in their future plans to add it.The device has no music storage of its own - and will run about 5 or 6 hours on a full charge. There is no "aux in" so you can't use a cable to hook a non-bluetooth MP3 player or device up to it.The light portion of the unit is pretty cool. A touch sensitive ring around the top toggles the light modes; from solid colors to a slowly rotating color. My son loves the blue.The speaker itself is really quite good for a unit of this price. It is clear as a bell, doesn't sound tinny. Granted, you're not going to get a ton of bass out of it - but it does get pretty loud and the quality makes up for it.The bottom line? It is well-priced, easy to use, sounds great, is fully featured and the manufacturer responds quickly to emails and requests. I took one star away because every night I have to change the mode back to microSD since it defaults to Bluetooth. Otherwise? I highly recommend this device.

I was looking for a digital music player for my grandmother's room in a nursing home. I needed a device that could be easily operated by family/staff and did not need to be connected to a computer or other device to operate. This speaker was the best option I could find within a reasonable price range. I was able to load 1940's music onto a microSD card that slips into the back and use the "TF mode" for playback. The sound is great, the buttons are well designed, and the lighting options are really cool. I really like that I can set a timer option and have the music stop playing after a specified time.Some suggestions for the manufacturer are: 1) When the device is turned off, the mode automatically returns to bluetooth mode when turned back on. I wish that it would remember the mode (bluetooth, microSD/TF card, radio) last used and stay there. Similarly, it would be nice if it could remember the timer setting that you last used (e.g., turn off after 1 hr each time it is turned on). 2) Sell the product with an AC adapter (to plug into wall for charging) or provide clearer instructions on what kind of adapter will work. The adapter I purchased gets really hot, so I don't know if it's a bad adapter or the wrong kind.

So I received this music light speaker and am in love with it! It changes colors fr you and it sounds really good. This speaker is also very light weight, So you can move room to room and not have to worry about it being heavy. It syncs pretty well with your phone. This speaker has more to offer than it actually shows. which is very nice. I would recommend this speaker to anyone out there!
