I get tons of compliments when other travelers see it but putting it on is fun. The material is silky. Getting that first snap on is the hardest part. But once it is on, it does protect my suitcase. I traveled to Texas from California every other week for four months. I had to check my bags once too. No rips in the fabric or scratches to my case yet. It crumples up line an XL t-shirt when I store it. It fits the smaller overhead size suitcase and one size up well. But it took me a minute to figure out how to cover my suitcase. I bought the cover to protect my hard suitcase from scratches and to easily recognize it. However, in order to open your suitcase you have to remove the cover entirely. Would prefer if I could keep it on and still zip up/down my luggage.
