My coffee was starting to taste funny. I faithfully clean my screen once a week, rinsing it every day. But still, I noticed it seemed darker in color than I would have liked. So I looked into replacing it. I found these screens, Amazon Prime eligible and honestly cheap enough that if for some reason they didn't work I wouldn't be overly annoyed. They come in fast as expected with Prime, and replacing the old filter made me see just how stained/corroded the old filter was. Like pulling a picture off of a wall that's been there a while, you only notice in comparison how different the color is.Now, this filter fit my Bodum perfectly. It looked like it was too big when I put it on there, but when I put it in and pressed the coffee it ran smooth as butter. Coffee came out perfect, no grounds. I don't know how this filter will stand up over time...but honestly at this price I'm not sure how much I care. I have the spare from this set and even if I have to change them every couple of months it won't bother me a bit. I only wish I had thought of this months ago.

Good quality filters, but the center hole is larger than the plunger stem on the Bodum 4 cup press I bought at Target. It's not a serious problem if you first center the flat filter as it comes out of the package and carefully bend up the edges around the retainer plate, It will hold that shape, and thereafter, inserting the retainer plate into the now-formed screen will center it correctly. Once the plunger is securely screwed into the bottom plate, the screen will stay centered and coffee grounds will not seem around the oversized hole. The edge of the screen is trimmed more neatly than the original screen that came with the coffee press, but it still could be done better. The very edge of the screen should have a double fold so the sharp wires are hidden inside a hem, rather than protruding inside the screen where they can poke the user during cleaning. These screens are better than the original, but still not perfect.

Works precisely as advertised. The bent-up sides are slightly longer than the original, and I think this actually works better. The wires in the mesh are slightly larger in diameter than my original filter, and when I first examined this I worried that the grid size (i.e., the openings between wires) would be larger - effectively a coarser filter. But I compared the mesh size under a dissecting microscope and could not distinguish any difference. I couldn't precisely measure this, but any differences in mesh must be extremely small. This filter also has a solid ring in the middle, which my original one did not. Good value, and works great - I think it's actually a bit better than the original.

This is an initial review offering only a comparison to a different set of filters I purchased at the same time. The product reviews I read were quite similar, and so I decided to purchase two different filters from two different companies. I compare the Slimm Beverage filters to filters from Bodum French Press. The metal center ring of the Bodum filters is a very nice feature and give them the look and feel of superior quality and longer life expectancy. However, the functionality of these filters does not differ. I gave the Slimm filters 4 stars only on the "first impression" they made in side-by-side comparison with the product from Bodum. Both filters leave a small amount of very fine coffee sediment at the bottom of the cup. You can avoid this by stirring you coffee until you drink the last drop; or you can simply leave the last swallow in the cup and dump it down the drain.

Thank you for heads-up on how delivery packed. Yes, I got it with another product thus I paid attention to a small box. I just used it this morning. Better than the original filter coming with the French Press. This one filtered better and will last longer too. Very pleased with the product.

I wouldn't have thought finding replacement filters for our 34 oz Ikea Upphetta French Press that FIT would be so difficult here at Amazon, considering it's a standard 4" size. Thankfully, after three tries, these work perfectly! They're not the fanciest as far as finish but so far they've left zero grounds in the coffee and have held up!

Delivery, construction, quality were great, but the mesh is still too stiff to smoothly glide down on the container walls after two weeks of daily use. . While the coffeemaker instructions said to just let the weight of your hand push the plunger down, these filters require pushing in a sequence of jerks, if one wants to do it slowly as recommended.
