Caprice

A lot of suspense!
A peculiar story with a mysterious main character and a secret that unveils only until the very end of the story—a secret that falls a bit short, at least for my taste. The story builds-up so much tension around Caprice, and the guy is so much confused whilst he is with her, that the story turns into a fast paced one. You will find yourself turning page after page willing to discover the secret.Unfortunately, and this is my humble opinion, the final explanation falls little bit short and results a stereotype. That's the reason why I have given this story only three stars.

Aubry -- My New Favorite Author
Wow! This is the second of Aubry's books that I have had the pleasure to read. Caprice starts with a rather lovesick young man who becomes violently ill, and proceeds to blow the reader's mind. Aubry has no boundaries to his imagination. There's just enough sci-fi and contemporary fiction to create an intriguing balance. This is the second of his three books I've read. I'm going to be in a state of despair when I finish the third and begin the wait for the fourth.

Interesting read!
I won a copy of this book from Library Thing, first winning the eBook version and then buying the paperback on my own. It took me a really long time to get into it, it is a quirky, psychedelic book, but once I picked it up again I thought it was pretty good. I am normally not a fan of this genre, but decided to give it a try and I am glad that I did. The book is an adventure that the further it goes, the deeper the mystery of who Caprice is. At only 198 pages, this is a very quick read, but you need to read it slowly to digest it.

Odd, But Entertaining
I'm not sure what I was expecting when I purchased this book, but I can say it's description does not do it justice. Quirky.

Interesting,
I enjoyed the story pretty well. The main character of the story was a bit too weak for my taste, but I was intrigued enough by the story to continue to the end.

A fun and quirky read, cross-genre blend of a story
Disclosure: I received a free copy of this book from the author in a giveaway in exchange for an honest, pre-release review.Danny has been living his cubicle existence, just getting by, when the woman of his dreams walks onto his floor. He's noticed her before, and had a crush on her, but had never had the nerve to get up and talk to her - suddenly she is there looking for him - Caprice: quirky, strange and adorable. Taking him into the stairway on an ostensible voyage to the Billing department, she instead kisses him, then runs away. By the time he gets back to his cubicle, quite confused about the whole situation, he is also terribly ill. He wakes up the next day in the hospital and finds out he has suffered from some sort of virus. Caprice shows up later and takes him out of the hospital, telling him both of their lives are in danger. Thus begins one of the strangest weeks Danny has ever experienced. Who is Caprice? Where does she come from? Which of her many stories are true? And what does she want from him? This was a great book - I spent a bit more than the first third of it laughing. Then it got weird (in a good way), then kind of sad, then ... well, I don't want to ruin it for you. I was trying to explain it to my husband and couldn't really figure out a good way to do so - it is sort of science fiction, sort of fantasy, sort of romance, sort of humorous ... and it all blends together into a wonderfully quirky and fun whole. This book is scheduled for release on Feb. 1, 2012 - watch for it and definitely pick it up if this sounds like something you would enjoy. Recommended!
