Really, really helps keep your mattress โ youngโ.
It really prevents sagging of your mattress over several years. Best thing I bought for back pain. Bought a second one for my husbandโs side of the best. Amazing product.

Helps a Sagging Bed
I am renting a space with a bed that was already here so couldn't get rid of it but the bed has sagged intensely in the middle. I should probably buy two, it the one I bought has helped greatly as to comfort and health of my back.

Sweet, sweet relief.
Long time degenerative disk sufferer. Been through several mattresses that helped early on, then the morning pain and stiffness slowly creep back in. This is the second insertion 'fix' I've tried I've only had it in place for 2 nights, but both mornings I awoke with about and 80-90% pain reduction. Didn't have to creep around for an hour until the discs became lubricated enough to ease the discomfort. I can bend over an pet my dogs in the morning again! I realize this has been a short trial to date, but the effectiveness thus far has been impressive. I'll come back and update the review later if things change. I'd deduct 1/2 star for the price as is that it is a bit expensive for what it is (a piece of compressed foam), but you can't give half-stars and I rounded up. Things I like: 1) It just the right size to target from the mid-back to below the buttocks; 2) It is lightweight and stiff enough so exact placement is possible; 3) You don't notice it is there; 4) It provides wonderful AM relief. Things I don't like: prices a bit high. Not sure how long it will be effective, but even if I have to replace it every month, $1/day to improve your sleep that much is hands-down worth it to me. How well it works may depend on your mattress type, but it works wonderfully under my 15" Heirloom mattress.

I really, really didn't expect this to work.
I have a $1,200 14" latex mattress that developed a noticeable impression in less that 2 years. Managed to get it swapped out and the same thing happened, except they won't do any more exchanges. My back pain has gotten progressively worse and some mornings I could barely bend over to put socks and shoes on, and every day I had lingering pain all day. Even just getting in and out of car was painful. Finally, in desperation, I ordered the 1" SagsAway as a last step before buying a new mattress, which I really can't afford just now. I really didn't expect this to work, and was surprised the mattress immediately felt firmer in the spot that sags. Still, I was skeptical. The first morning my back pain was drastically decreased, and within 3 mornings it was virtually gone. Not sure how long this will work, or if I'll have to switch to the 1.5" version at some point, but for now it's a godsend. It's saving both my back and my wallet.

This does work!
We have a new Satva classic mattress in king size that I decided to purchase after years of sleeping on a Tempur-pedic. The mattress is wonderful but it did sag very quickly on each side where we slept. I hated that look as that never happened with the Tempurpedic mattress. Looking online to find ways to correct the sag, I found a person that used a small pillow between the mattress and the box spring. I tried that but it was too thick. Then I came across this and this made sense to me. However you need four, two end to end on each side to correct the sag, full body length. The mattress appears perfectly flat on top and no further sagging has occurred. So purchasing four may seem somewhat pricey for some but this definitely fixed the problem. The satva classic is an innerspring mattress, 1/3 the price of a Tempur-pedic and much lighter weight and in our opinion just as comfortable, maybe more so.

It works!
I previously bought 2 of the 1-1/2" pads for a foam mattress that was only about 2 years old, and we use it just a few months in a year. No visible sag, but had obvious soft spots in the butt areas. Another review suggested you could separate the pad in sections of 1" and 1/2" but that was not possible. Maybe the manufacturer changed how the product is made. It was a bit too firm, so I had to add a another topper which made it more comfortable. Now I ordered a 1" pad to try it on our air bed (a sleep number knock-off). We've had that bed for 11 years and it still holds air perfectly but the foam topper it came with now has the sag. The pad is not supposed to work with this type of mattress, but I gave it a try anyway and it has made a huge difference! I'm glad I ordered the 1" pad for the second bed. No other topper pad was needed. My sciatic nerve problem and hip pain was gone after about a week with the larger pad on that bed and now I'm sleeping better on the other bed with the 1" pad, too. Very happy. Seems pricey for a piece of foam, but it works.

too small..
if this item were larger and covered the enter width of the bed it would be perfect.. it did what is said it would do but because it does not go across the entire bed you feel the sag onto the other side. its expensive for the one piece but it does lift the mattress. i just wish it covered the entire width. i now have to purchase another one to even out the sagging mattress all the way across.
