Will these cutting pads work in the original red sidekick?

Yes, these will work in the red Sidekick. I tried them on mine. You can use thin metal dies with these cutting pads and the red Sidekick.

Can u cut frameletts with these and the sidekick

I was able to cut using all the thin dies that I own. You cannot cut the sizzlets that came with the old sidekick with these though. These pads are thicker than the original clear pads.

can sizzix' cutting plates/all sizes/colors b used w/other known brands die-cut machines? c.c's warp 2-fast/2costley!..can't enjoy my crafting!

They can be used with most machines (not the old cuttlebug, not sure about the new ones but the plate width size is different on the old ones), but they also crack easily in my opinion. I personally use the spellbinders Jr. plates in my sizzix machines. They last longer.
