I have installed these before and once setup they are the best in signal strength, speed and endurance.The challenge is that people don't know or understand how to do the setup using the google home app.

The WiFi device data radar progressively get slower through the day. I have Spectrum internet 500, whose max data rate is measured at 250 Mbps. Immediately after reboot, the data rate is fine. After running for a day, the data rate can drop to around 1~2 Mbps. It requires reboot almost daily. Very disappointed.

Items looked brand new, easy to install, I wish you didn't need to have a Google account and also use a phone to set up. But getting passed that. It's quick to setup and the wifi is strong enough to support 2 floors plus basement and garage.

I installed 4 of these over 1 year ago in our 3 story home wired with LAN cabling. They work amazing, so I ordered this 4-pack of "Renewed" units for our vacation home, as there are no brand new ones for sale that I could find. They arrived in perfect condition, professionally boxed; there was no indication that they had ever been used. Google now wants you to install and manage these with their "Google Home" app (vs the older "Google WiFi" app); I couldn't get the install to work easily, so I went back to the Google WiFi app and they installed perfectly as expected. Once setup in the WiFi app, I easily imported my setup into the Home app to manage it from there going forward.I got the router from our internet provider switched into Bridge Mode, and then Google WiFi takes over as router and Mesh WiFi. NO more dead spots anywhere in our vacation home! Google says to setup the system wirelessly first, then (optional) wire them together with LAN cable afterwards. Even in 100% wireless mode, the coverage and speed was amazingly better than our old system. I was able to hardwire 2 units and leave the other 2 wireless. We’re getting 150 - 300+ mbps on our wireless hardware around the house vs about 20-100 mbps before (we have a Shaw Internet 300 plan). I turned on the Guest network to connect all our various IOT/automation devices to secure that traffic away from the main user network, in case any of the devices or providers get hacked. These are very easy to set up, the phone app is great and it all works WAY better than the standard internet provider router/WiFi.
