It was an interesting week. The cobbler sewing machine had a small piece of leather with stitches in it. I assumed this was proof of it working. All I could get was broken thread. Main problem was shuttle was in 9 o'clock position rather than 3 o'clock. Needle shaft needed lowered so upper thread could catch bobbin thread. With everything oiled and smoothed, it still broke top thread. Finally noticed thread was cutting in the needle eye. Changed needles and used bonded #93 polyester thread. With all these combinations, I now have a fairly good idea how this thing ticks and just sewed two bobbins worth of thread with no hiccups. Fbshicung machine has a bit smoother finish than many of the other similar brands. If it had ran perfectly out of the box, I would not have learned so much. Worth the effort. Just stay on your toes and refer questions to the knowledge base of online videos.

The machine sews good right out of the box after I gave it a quick cleanup , the only complaint I have is when you order a certain item based on description which states it's made of metal and I got one made of aluminum it's disappointing, I put magnets on it and they won't stick to it,so i didn't get what I actually ordered,I don't like buying one thing and getting another.

It looks great but that's all we can do with it for now. Ordered this for my husband's birthday way early so return window has closed. Had I noticed a hole in the bottom of the box I might have learned early enough that this didn't have any bobbins or missing the mounting screws/bolts.

Well i bought this because it was cheap and compared to 2000 it is. But it worked for about two days and now I can't get the thing to sew right anymore.

Based on all the reviews I bought one paid extra thinking I was getting a better machine. Not! Machine came in as rough as it could possibly be. Chrome chipping nasty parts with finishing like it was pulled out of the sand and quickly painted it. Spent the month cleaning the rough and lubing. No matter what I do timing etc no stitches. Decided today to send back however April 1st was max return date I bought may 3. So I guess I'm stuck with this 140.00 p.o.s. If the seller cared they would send out another and trash this now polished turd. If your going down the chinese trail. Buy the cheapest one and get ready to finish everything on the machine. You tube is full of that info.

This would have gotten a higher rating, but it required a LOT of TLC to get it usable. Got this for the hubby for Christmas, he had to take it apart, sand areas that were rusted, build a stable stand for it, adjust things, etc. Videos on YouTube and suggestions from others helped out tremendously!!!

I purchased this back in March, however I just opened it today and it was missing the plate that the spool of threat sits on.

Needs a little better packaging. Screwdriver handle was crushed in shipping. Instruction sheet has holes punched in it from shipping. Overall seems to be a sturdy machine worth the money. Arrived 4 days ahead of scheduled date.
