Excellent filters. Best bang for your buck.
Most people think that the more expensive the filters, the better they are. What you want to look at is the MERV rating. This rating determines how small of a particulate is trapped in the filter. A MERV 13 is at the HEPA filter level and is best if you have someone in your home with extreme allergy issues or is sensitive to mold and such. They also stop up quick and restrict the air intake of your unit which is very hard on your AC compressor. The MERV 8 filters are pretty much useless as they allow large particles to pass through and stop up your coils which could lead to a very expensive cleaning or catastrophic failure of your AC system. The MERV 11 is an excellent balance as far as its filtration ability. I have almost 20 years in HVAC instalation, repair, as well as failure prediction and preventative maintenance scheduling. I am very good at HVAC maintenance and these are the filters I have used for years. My AC system is 6 years old and my coils still look brand new. This is just my opinion based on my experience that I felt inclined to pass on to you.

Product Change
I have purchased these filters in the past. It’s cost efficient and I don’t have to go to the store. This time, however, it seems the product has changed and even though the dimensions are the same the filter border is thicker than the previous product and doesn’t fit properly in place as you can see in the photo. I thought I had found a product I didn’t have to keep changing but now I’m going to have to consider another vendor in the future.

Works great!
I purchased the same brand but Merv 6….so now I am trying the Merv 11….the filter itself works well, just wanted to try the next step up Merv-wise to filter out more dust etc.

They work.
They are about 3/4 of an inch thinner than the big box store brand names. I doubt that matters. They also take a bit of abuse during shipping and may have a crushed corner or two that needs to be straightened out.

Good Fit
I've purchased some that are about a 1/16" too long causing them to bend slightly when you put them in. Not these, they fit correctly everytime!!

These are amazing. Take prior comments around undersized/packing, with a grain of salt.
Ok. So I am VERY particular on things like furnace filters. It drives my wife nuts how much I get focused on research for car waxes and furnace filters and even the chemical needed to clean the outdoor AC Condenser fins lol. I rarely post reviews but I wanted to make this very basic to cover what my wife says is important and what my reluctance-concern was when I submitted order and had hope many of the reviews were wrong on...First: The filters are NOT undersized. There are two things to look at on furnace filter sizes. The first thing is make sure you have the correct filter size to begin with! I can't tell you how many times I have talked to people (My brother in law owns a large HVAC company) at his company picnics etc that just flat out think there is no difference between a 20 3/8" filter and a 20" filter. You need to be sure direct from the manufacturer-that you have the exact sizing of the appropriate filter. Number two is they have two sizes listed in the product listing. This is true for 3rd party filter websites, Amazon, other retailers. The first is the "size of the filter" and then the "actual size of the filter". You need to realize that the manufacturer size is the "size of the filter" you need to match that up. What you need to also understand with these cardboard disposable filters is that the DEPTH measurement will not be the same. SO---The filter saying you need a 19 7/8" filter by 21 1/2" by 1" will fit the filter that is listed as such. What you will get delivered is one that is 19 7/8" by 21 1/2" by .75". That doesn't make it undersized lol. That's what you get. If you go to a big box retailer that's what they will have too. If you make sure the manufacturer size is what you got for the first two measurements, the 19 7/8" by 21 1/2",,,,,,the filter you get will be EXACTLY that. It is thinner at .75" though. THAT IS NORMAL. Measure one at big box stores, this is how it works. If it's too small, you ordered the wrong one in the first place/not shopping the right size.Second: I am thoroughly impressed with the top of the filter (where it has the cardboard going across in a diamond shape type pattern. I should have provided a picture of other competitors but this one is matching similar structure/strength as the big name brand ones. The ones I have been using (a diff brand than these) for the last 6 months, are definitely lesser quality and I can see that.Third: I change my filters every 60 days, have it written on my planner and a calendar reminder. These will do the trick, the quality is awesome and last just as long. The resistance for air flow appears to be spot on the merv rating in which they provide.Fourth: The packaging. These came in PERFECT condition. Keep in mind they are really thin chicken wire type skeleton as they all are. The way it was packed, there was no phsyical damage that will have any measurable impact on the effectiveness of this filter.I am really impressed and pleased. A great buy for the price. I have NO problem recommending these filters to people. I am sure for far more money and a very technical analysis I could come up with better options but again-----in this price range, and what you actually get delivered -I couldn't be happier. Great value for the money, for those that change them every month, there is no reason to spend 12-30 dollars a filter. Just get the correct merv rating for what you need, make sure the width and length are the RIGHT/Correct measurements. And you are set!

Hoping these are in the "Sweet Spot"
These fit fine. My problem with filters is how high can you go in MERV number, and not cost yourself a lot of extra electricity cost. The higher the number, the denser the filter medium (so it can catch smaller particles), but the more strain in puts on the fan motor of your HVAC unit.I tried Merv 13, but my electric bill went up about 20%. Way too much. So, I am backing down to Merv 11, and see what happens. Also, I am told that some fan motors do not like the extra stain of pulling air in through a dense filter, and may prematurely fail. You are supposed to contact you manufacturer and see what the status of your particular model is...but try to get hold of someone who actually knows this answer...would have to be a mechanical engineer, and they don't usually answer the phone. So, I keep my fingers crossed that my fan does not prematurely fail.

Wasn't packaged fully
It came in a box but nothing covering the filters. I was actually surprised by this as i was expecting at least a plastic wrapper around it? Regardless, it was easy to install and came in 6. Good value for the money I think. I was a little worried that the filters would come a little damaged as I didn't think it was packagedfully as I had hoped but thankfully that wasn't the case.

Hard to find filter size, but pricing is now terrible
I've ordered these a few times, and their quality is decent but packaging quality has gone down (box needs to be split open to remove a single filter) and pricing has gone up with each order to ridiculous levels now--nearly 2.5x its original pricing.Pricing is now higher than a conventionally-sized Nordic Pure filter sold here with activated charcoal and much higher filtering quality. I will be looking elsewhere for future orders in this sizing for Carrier furnaces, unless pricing improves.

Buyer Beware
While these appear to be a pretty good filter at a good price buyers should be aware that while its advertised you will get 6 filters and the box when you receive it is labelled as having 6 filters inside, in fact what you get are 5 filters. Still a pretty good deal but surely a bit of false advertising. By reading through the reviews it appears this is not the first time this has happened. Just not worth the time and hassle for me to make an issue about it. My last time buying filters here though.

They will be the best if no damage
I don’t know if only me have the problem with these filters. They are good filters if they are not received damaged. The shipping box has no damage to it, but the filters are damaged. Same as I bought from two years ago. I think the manufacturer sent damaged filters to amazon to sell them for a cheaper price. Because I’ve ordered one for my brother and one for myself from the manufacturer last year and this year, those filters have no damages at all, and the shipping box has the manufacturer name and logo on. But the ones I bought here don’t have that, other than having damage.

want to blow your motor? then buy these
these things are literally the most restrictive filters i have ever used. I do NOT recommend using these unless you want to ef up your furnace.

Misrepresentation
I ordered these Aerostar filters as I already use this product but the product I received does not stay Aerostar on it anywhere. I’m wondering if I had been sent a generic brand or something like that. The ones I usually use have the brand Aerostar on them. And nowhere does it say Merv 11.I am very disappointed and will look further into this
