Good for non-dairy milk!
I was searching for a manual milk frother for quite a while, and this one is the best I’ve found. It’s a perfect size for a single cup serving. The fit of the plunger is good - which seems to be very important when frothing non-dairy milks as they are more difficult to froth. With the removable base, it’s easy to pop the glass in the microwave to heat up the milk and help stabilize the froth. After trying 3 others, this was hands down the best one for me.

Makes really good cappucino froth
Had one of these for years after having tried a few other styles and this is the only one that reallyworks to make good foam. BUT, it is fragile so you must handle the glass karaffe with care. Hand wash and dry gently and it'll last you.To make good, thick froth use cold fat free milk (works best), pump it 20 times as indicated (this adds air to the milk), let sit as noted, then put in micro for 30 - 40 seconds. Depends on your micro and the longeryou do it the karaffe may get hot so remove with a towel or such to protect hands. Top will be thick then looser froth then thicker toward bottom. If karaffe not hot, then put in micro for 10ish more seconds to make thicker foam. Add froth to coffee and if not as stiff as you like, pop the cup of coffee with foam in the micro to plump. Enjoy!

Froths as expected
Bought this so I could be fancy and sip on London Fog. This frother works very well. I would buy it again if needed.

The best manual milk frother.
I bought this as a gift for my father, who had purchased a similar frother while on business in Europe several years ago (for much more money, I might add) and was heartbroken when the glass finally shattered. As the name suggests, this is used to "froth" milk into a foam, which is great for those of us that occasionally enjoy a nice cappuccino (or latte) but have no desire to invest in an expensive and large machine for this purpose. The directions are simple: fill milk up to the fill line, move the little black knob up and down quickly for thirty seconds (or so), and then microwave for thirty seconds (or so). All of this is easily adjustable to personal preference. We were surprised to find that this frother worked much better than my father's original frother, requiring less effort to get the milk foamy. Of course, it suffers from the same pitfall of being fragile, but as long as you don't drop it or knock it over you should be fine. The removable no-skid base helps.Overall, we're very impressed with this frother. The quality of every piece is great, from the net to the plunger to the glass, and the froth it makes is great! I even ended up caving and ordering one for myself.

The first one of these lasted for years and years ...
But I wanted a replacement carafe in case the first one got broken (which it eventually did). However when searching for the replacement carafe, found the whole contraption was actually a couple dollars less expensive than just purchasing the carafe. So when the first carafe broke, we just replaced the whole thing. We like this particular brand and model, it's fairly inexpensive and works like a dream. So when I get a spare (just in case), I will stick with these.
