I bought these on a whim for my brother and I as gag gifts. We just wanted to be silly and use them on boats that passed us on the river to draw a laugh. Well they did, and we were surprised by just how awesome these actually are. Certainly better than I imagined at the time of buying them.First off, these are not spotting scopes or high magnification. These were around 20 bucks each, so I was expecting toys. These could be great toys, but they are useful for adults they are so well built.The telescope has a great fit an finish to it, it is real metal with a nice brass finish, wrapped in what I suspect is faux leather. Very pleasing to hold and use, and share with others. Pulling it out to full length is a very satisfying experience, the telescoping pieces fit extremely well. The eye piece/end tip screws in and out slightly to offer legitimate focus control. The overall magnification is not much, but it is definitely magnifying.If you are having trouble- the hardest part is holding it steady at the right distance from your eye, everyone is different, some of my friends have it very close to their eye and others hold it a ways away.This is a perfect product. It does what it should do, it is well made, and is enjoyable to use for a great price.

Great quality, looks good and I was surprised it works! I bought this for an adult, not sure how sturdy it is for a child.

YOU CAN READ A STORE'S HOURS FROM THE OTHER SIDE OF THE PARKING LOT. CONTRACTS INSTANTLY FOR TINY STORGE. MOST MONOCULAS ARE 8X MAGNIFICATION OR 10X OR 16X IF YOU'RE LUCKY. THIS IS 25X MAGNIFICATION. THAT'S A LOT FOR A TINY CONTRACTABLE SPY GLASS THAT IS FAR LIGHTER THAN BINOCULARS & FAR LESS BULKY ETC.

The opening "pin" for the compass that you push keeps falling out. You screw it back in and it falls out again. The telescope is nice quality but disappointed in the compass.

This is the Best Buy I have ever made for a monocular. The quality and clarity are awesome and is just as good as my expensive one.

I built a fort for the grandkids and installed one of those plastic, brightly-colored “telescopes” on the rail. They don’t magnify at all so I bought this item. It works, it was inexpensive, and seems sturdy. The real rating was when my grandson proclaimed after looking through it, “Hey, a REAL telescope!”. Oh, ouch!😂

It was slightly smaller than I pictured in my mind. The box came and it was only about 5 inches long. But I opened it and it came in a nice case. I think I will find a fancy box for gifting it to my son. Then I pulled it open and it looked all blurry, but if you rotate the eyepiece it adjusts and you can see exceptionally well. Exceptional value for the money

Well ... when I looked through the scope in my house, I could see nothing. However, I drove to a high street, overlooking the town, and used it to look into the harbour. I was able to see onto the decks of the ships, sitting on the waters, and, into the shipyard. I could see the tops of the mountains, etc. So, it works, and, I was very impressed.

Our 5 year old grandson loves to play pirates and he's always looking for tunes to use. So I got the idea to give him this for Christmas. He loves and is clear and worth every penny watching his smile. His dad also thought it was awesome for when they hike and go fishing.
