Shut Up! (Tais Toi)

This is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen even though it is spoken in french & I had to rely on the english sub-titles. I never realised how talented Gerard Deppadieu was, he is terrific as the sub normal idiot. An absolute classic performance worthy of commendation.Fully recommend this DVD.

I love watching Depardieu and Reno, but they can't carry such a hackneyed plot. Two big guys dressed as women or in bath robes running around in the streets. Boy that's funny. Reno could be threatening and annoyed in his sleep. Depardieu had to stretch his skills to look and act like an idiot, with funny hair. I've seen worse movies is the highest praise I can give it. Watch "48 hours" or "Nuns on the Run" and you will get more laughs.

Non stop laughter through the entire movie. Gerard Depardeau was brilliant, what a fantastic comedian.two guys on the run, first in PJ's and bathrobes, then in woman's clothes, then finally in regular clothes.If you feel like laughing, this is your movie. I have been enjoying the films made by this director for over 30 years already. I remember his films with Pierre Richard from the 70s and 80s very well. His name is like a quality mark to me. If I see "directed by F.Veber", I know that the quality is guaranteed. It also applies to the latest "Tais-toi!" (Ruby & Quentin) film. If you love French comedies you will enjoy the movie without any doubt.

A a French comedy. Combining the sombre murderer and the comic naif who escape from gaol together, Tais Toi offers a great movie with lots of loud laughs. An interesting story with three plot phases and the brilliant French quality of fascinating sub-plots alongside the main theme. Superb acting and directing.

Such a funny movie! Jean Reno and Gerard Depardieu work perfectly together achieving maximum laughs. Good, fun, entertaining, movie.

You can never go wrong with Jean Reno's movies. This was clever and the ending was unique and perfect! Never disappointing.

Megusta esta pelicula "Que te Calles". Es chistoso, con accion y muchas bromas. Me encanta especialemente companeros Ruby y Quentin. Ruby poco oidos Quentin, poco es el amigo. Pero tu compras este DVD, tegusta! Lo prometo!

This is an absolutely hilarious film done in true French style with the two greatest side-kicks you could ask for. If this doesn't get you into world cinema nothing will. Jean and Gerard show they can do comedy to the heights they do drama. Exceptional! Just a heads up the blu-ray only has German/French language subtitles,no English!!! Can't find a French copy with English subtitles but the Thai version on sale does have English subtitles. The blu-ray is excellent quality,a much clearer picture with DTS HD 5:1 sound but the language barrier so why on sale here I don't know. Ironically the Thai version does but on dvd only. Get the widescreen version although you won't get the extras. Someone pleeeeeasssee do a UK friendly version! See this film if you don't mind falling off your sofa laughing. I'll never look at mental hospitals in the same way again. Vive le France!!!

It is a real pity that this film isn't available in a synchronised English version. This is the French original version with English subtitles. I have also watched it synchronised in German before. It is absolutely hilarious. Jean Reno as the professional tough criminal who is paired up against his will with Gerard Dépardieu as the mentally impaired and thus unsuccessful thief, make me laugh tears every time I watch this film.

This is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. Everything is great about it. Depardieu and Reno make a great team together. English subtitles so all is good. Just watch it. Havent laughed so hard in a while.

An outstanding film, that reinvents the concept of dynamic duo, and gives us a refreshingly enjoyable comedy that is bound to stay with the viewer. Saying anything else would be rather unfair, and it's best that this film be watched before it's commented upon. Recommended.
