Long story short been having issues with my vw Jetta for over a year. Mechanic says he fixes it and saying it's this or that. I came across CARLY. Obd2 dongle /software for my car. Ran the diagnostic test and came up with engine code.What the P0011 code means. P0011 is the OBD-II generic code indicating the engine control module (ECM) has determined that the bank 1 intake camshaft is more advanced than what the ECM has commanded it be. This over-advanced condition could be during advancing or retarding of the camshaft timing.Watch a few YouTube videos and found this kit on Amazon. Lord behold I take off the cam shaft magnet and its stuck open. Now I only replaced this part, saving the solenoid in case I made need to replace this but the solenoid requires special tool to access and threads in counter clockwise.Hope this helps someone out there. My cars rpms would shoot up and down by 2000 when idle or driving at times unless I pushed down on the gas or restarted the car.

Did not work for 2014 Passat 1.8t, camshaft solenoid was wrong type, cam bridge was difficult to install left metal shavings all over.... vvt solenoid garbage didn't accutuate.
