Non-irritating
I have using this product for a number of years. I usually get it locally, but say it on Amazon and decided to order it to save a trip. I have extermely sensitive skin so I always get the unscented. I am able to use it all over. I have a buzz cut so shampooing is a cinch. On the skin, it rinses completely, leaving a squeaky clean feeling, such that I find that I don't need lotion unless I just want to. For face and hair, and sometimes for body wasing, I use a sepaarate container to dilute it, about half and half. I wet the area for application then pour a small amount into my hands, rub together to produce suds then apply. I find that works best for me. If I use that method for bathing, I pour enough of the dilution into the was cloth then rub the cloth together to make suds, then apply. I also use it undiluted and that works too, I just seem to loke that way best. It's not too stretch the product. So all in all, this soap is a winner I have added to a few others I can use. I like to have a few if one is discontinued, as has happened a few times since my skin is so sensitive.

The only soap I love- you can use it for everything
Need to shave? Need shampoo? I have been using this product since I was a teenager. It last for a good 6 months if you use if for everything. Your skin and hair will thank you. Every single ingredient is natural and good for your body. I can tell a difference when use drugstore body wash. It's works well for hair and gives a ton of volume. The only thing I dislike is the cap is flimsy and breaks enough.

Good not great
I used this soap for years. I love that it has only a few ingredients that are natural. But after years of using it I noticed it doesn't clean me as good as other soaps. I noticed that my body can be stinky at the end of the day or even after 1-2 days of not washing. One day I ran out of this soap so I used Miracle II instead and I was way cleaner & less stinky even after 1-2 days of not bathing. Alaffia is a good soap to use for hand soap because it doesn't dry my hands out but I would not use it for body wash anymore.

Wouldn’t recommend daily use
For those with sensitive or dry skin, I wouldn’t recommend using this as a daily shampoo or body wash.

Great All in One shower soap!
Originally got this Eucalyptus Tea tree Black soap for my scalp, but found its a great all purpose (hair, face & body) shower soap.

Great product received damaged
I disliked the fact that the top was totally busted, but all of my contents were still inside.. I didnt even feel like returning it because I was so anxious to use it.. The peppermint scent is what I liked the most.

Finally a product with natural simple ingredients and not just a shower gel
I love using this as a shower gel (simple ingredients, smells nice, not dehydrating to my skin) and also the fact that they are supporting communities in West Africa as well as being a business.I recently started having dandruff out of the blue and I was going to buy a anti dandruff shampoo that contained tea tree oil but then I remembered this has tea tree oil in it (I realised then that you can use it in your hair and it contains neem which is meant to be very good for reducing dandruff). After one wash my dandruff has improved by about 60-70% (as a guess) and I am rarely itching my head. Easy solution, instead of researching and buying more products.

Very gentle cleanser - not to remove heavy hair products though
This soap is lovely, it smells only very slightly soapy but natural and doesn't leave a lingering scent.I bought it to use in my curly hair as a gentle shampoo but I've ended up just using it on my hands and face. While it's lovely, it's just not strong enough to strip my scalp of the heavy butters and oils I use. It wasn't something I could ignore either - from just the first wash my hair felt clean but my scalp wasn't no matter how many times I re-washed. I still give it 5 stars because it's got a nice formula, it smells good and it cleans well.

Not the best quality
I have to use a large amount for it to do anything. Living in hard water area does not help. So far the best makers of liquid black soap that I have found is by a company called Akamuti. But its eye wateringly expensive. I buy it on the very rare occasion its on offer.

Great soap! I use it with the black soap bar
I initially purchased this to use alongside the Dudu Osen black soap bar because on its own the bar is very drying to the skin. This Alaffia shower gel doesn't take away from the squeaky clean feeling left from the bar and replenishes some of the moisture in your skin (you'll still need lotion after but not as much) and it leaves a lovely fresh peppermint smell. I have since started using the black soap bar (The one that is more yellow - not black - that you need to break apart) and I prefer it because it evens my skin tone more visibly and quicker than the Dudu Osen soap. The new bar soap isn't as drying so I haven't needed to use the Alaffia as much but I still like to use it when I want to smell of peppermint. I have repurchased. 5* seller

Liquid Black African Soap
Quite expensive for what it is imo. Didn't really lather up as I would of liked. Guessing it's the concentration, not really the right mixture. Going to stick to black african soap I guess.
