Vintage Chris Tomlin Does Not Disappoint
Does this installment meet the expectations of prior blockbusters from Chris Tomlin? As of this writing, Chris' latest album sits atop of the Christian Contemporary Music chart sales on this site. So far the majority of reviews are also overwhelmingly positive. I respect the integrity of my fellow reviewers to give them the benefit of a doubt that they are being honest and not giving five stars simply because he is Chris Tomlin.Being someone who felt that Arriving is his best album to date, that See The Morning(the follow-up album to Arriving) was actually a notch down from its predecessor, and who was not nearly as excited about his concert style as most everyone else was, I certainly was not going to give an automatic five stars. In fact, I do not even like some of his more popular songs all that much(i.e. Made To Worship, Wonderful Maker, Forever).I think a helpful test when listening to this album is to ask the question, "Do these songs sound like a rehash of previous albums?" Answer: I did NOT get this feeling in the least. I for one do not want Chris to change his style. It is very hard to pick a best track on this disc, as they are all very well done. My personal favorites are God Of This City, Love, and Praise The Father, Praise The Son. While there may not be a song from this CD that becomes as globally acclaimed as the incomparable How Great Is Our God, or draws someone into a splendid adoration of God like Holy Is The Lord, or personalizes the intimate sufficiency of Jesus like Enough, the tracks on Hello Love share this common trait with them: they are simple but beautiful to the ear. That is the vintage aspect of this CD, but do not misunderstand: the songs are definitely different. New songs, new words, same engaging enjoyment as previous releases.Last I checked, that type of work was worth buying. This album is no exception. See for yourself. With the $10 price, the decision becomes even easier. Happy listening.

Helloooo Love! Chris Tomlin's best work...well Jesus' work really!
I just received and listened to this album today on my way to school and it is awesome. It includes the hit radio single "Jesus Messiah", but oh, this is just the start! Love with the Children's choir has to be my favorite along with God of This City and All The Way my Savior Leads Me. I like the fact that Chris Tomlin put another hymn arrangement on this record, but I only wish there were more like it in the future! Amazing Grace-My Chains Are Gone was probably his defining song of his life, even though he would attest, it wasn't his song, neither John Newtons. It was God's inspired message. You really see how passionate Chris Tomlin is in his music about sharing as much as he can about the Glory of God, His Majesty and his blessed son, Jesus, who gave up His life for us all to live happy, fufilling lives for His Will and Purpose. If you think this album is kinda soft, think again! He really keeps the tempo and guitars flowing through more than a couple or tracks. It is one of those albums that will be sad when it ends. It's that addictive!

Great songs with meaning
My favorite is the title track which is sung with the African Children's choir on back up. I have to say as well as he sings their voices are the best part of the CD...I am amazed at their giftedness and Tomlin knows how to arrange their voices beautifully to showcase it. Great lyrics showing devotion with good music. Sometimes I can hear him inhale before singing and find it distracting in a few songs. Tried to adjust the sound to no avail. But he has good songs and vocals overall.

Best of Chris Tomlin Yet - Hello Love
I am a fan of Chris Tomlin's music. I love the way he writes music, so that you can almost feel like you are in the presence of God, when you are listening and singing along. I was hesitant to buy this CD, and I don't know why. I am SO glad I did. In my opinion, this is his best music yet. I can listen to this CD over and over, and that is not generally the way I listen to music. This music reminds me that life isn't about us, it is about Jesus, and that is where my focus needs to be. I am thankful Chris is willing to be used in this way.

Chris's 2nd best album
Chris's best album to date in my opinion is "Arriving" and "Hello Love" is the 2nd best. I've grown more fond of it through the years. It's like a fine wine, getting better over time. There isn't a bad song on it. Five years later, it's still a regular in my playlist. It's got fast songs (Sing, Sing, Sing and You Lifted Me Out), medium tempo songs (Hello Love, My Deliverer), an anthem (Jesus Messiah) and the requisite worship ballads (Exalted, All The Way). A little something for all!

For those who love to worship
Chris Tomlin is a well known and very successful Christian singer and songwriter. His latest album 'Hello Love' has taken this popular style to a new, and more mature level. On first impressions the CD is not overtly Christian, with a modern scrolling image on a black background.Christian music by its nature tends to be quite powerful and emotive, and in this Chris Tomlin certainly does not disappoint. My favourite track from the album certainly has to be 'Sing, sing, sing', which has such soaring highs and swooping lows you can't fail to be drawn in to his voice.Lyrics are clearly Christian, but modern and relevant. Chris has made this CD to appeal to more progressive Christians as well as younger people just starting to explore their faith.I was surprised when I got this album how many of the songs we sing in church, and they are generally very accessible and easy to pick up. Despite this the music is complex, and rivals any contribution currently in the top 40.'Jesus Messiah' is another favourite song off the album. This one is slower, slightly more traditional, and could be sung in a less progressive church.Chris Tomlin has a clear, steady and very strong voice, that carries the songs and their message well. Despite this however I do consider that some of the later tracks are a bit similar, and do tend to blend into one another. Some of the tracks on this album have the anthemic quality of early Delirious? tracks, and I think are set to become favourites in the modern Christian church. While I think this CD is a great collection of music, and has many high points, I don't think it has much to offer non-Christian listeners, as there is a very clear and powerful worship running through this CD that can not be ignored.

I bought this CD because I had heard a wonderful rendition of a song. It was my first purchase of Chris Tomlin and I think it will take a few hearings to get to like and enjoy the CD.

inspiring
loved the music in this cd. Very easy to listen to, and although it lacks the raw energy of some of the Bethel etc music, it's still got loads of heart in it.
