NIV, Fulfilled Devotional Bible for the Single Woman, Hardcover: The NIV Devotional Bible for the Single Woman

I read this devotional Bible daily. I bought it because I was having trouble relating to some of the women's devotional Bibles that I had been given in the past; typically, these would have devotions that discussed "women's duties" such as marriage and child-rearing, which (as a single woman) don't really apply to my life. The devotionals in this book are uplifting as they deal with some of the tough issues that single Christian women face. It is also comforting to realize that others face the same issues that I am in life, since I don't have any other single, Christian, female friends my own age to talk to, and to get advice on how to navigate these rough waters. The devotionals and character analyses are spaced frequently enough that I use them as markers that begin/end my daily reading of the Bible (usually it takes about 15-25 minutes).

Although this came with a rip on the paper part of the cover I am still very satisfied. The content is great and I'm loving it. It is really geared towards single women and gets down to the heart of the matter. I like the way the devotionals a spread out within the bible. So you have the entire text of the NIV bible and also devotionals to help you along the way. These devotionals have examples of real single women and it helps you on a personal level in living your life for God as a single person and not being afraid of the world out there.

I love the concept of a devotional Bible for single women. The devotionals are great, but maybe not quite as good as I thought they would be. However, that's just my opinion. There's an index to help you find the subjects you are most interested in. There are also specific verses that are highlighted, that are helpful to single women. The best aspect of this Bible is the beautiful coloring. I love the teal and turquoise color scheme. The headings are in blue, too. That gives it the extra touch that Zondervan is known for.

I just love this bible- it is a lay flat bible so it is easy to use and has some devotionals in that, although aimed at single women, could definitely apply to others. It is a nice size, it is not pocket size (it was difficult to tell from the picture) I was very happy with it. The colours are lovely and the entire inside is very nice too, good font size and a beautiful design inside, too. I highly recommend this.

This is not a daily devotional and there is no reading plan. There are 104 devotions interspersed throughout with no reference from one to the next. Do not recommend for anyone seeking a structured guide for the year as offered by other Zondervan women's devotionals.

I give 4 stars for the price I paid for this book. Overall I expected the book to be a little different. But that's okay. The devotions are really nice and uplifting.

Since I have never married, I was looking for a Bible suitable for someone like myself. I was very happy to see this Bible available for single women, so I bought a copy. I am very impressed with the content (devotionals, highlighted Scriptures, topical index for singles, and more), and I love it. :)

This is a great bible. All others that I bought for women was not to my taste, as a single female who has not children or have been married this is the bible for me.
