Absolutely the best slug repellent for plants with stalks
I ordered these for my peppers, but ended up using them on tomatoes and zucchini as well. NONE of the plants protected by these have been attacked by slugs at all, whereas all of the unprotected zucchini starts were destroyed, and most of the leaves of the unprotected peppers have huge holes in them. I call a 100% success rate a five-star worthy result. As a side note, slugs don't care about copper--the stories of them creating and unpleasant reaction that turns them around are false. I've watched slugs glide right over clean, shiny copper tape. What makes this product work is the uneven, sharpish edges, which the slugs cannot seem to figure out how to get over. So in theory, you might be able to make your own for cheap, using twisted strands of thinly cut wire, but if you need a solution fast, this is what you should get.

Great idea
This is my second time ordering this product. I use them to keep slugs off of my dahlias and vegetables. I love the idea that they are safe for the environment and reusable. I find them to be very effective. They also stretch to fit around the stem as the plants grow.
