Best barcode scanner we have found to scan phones
We run events and have to scan phones for check in. We have purchased many other scanners. These are the best we have found. They scan phones fast, even outdoors and even when the brightness on the phone screen isn’t 100%They are easy to use and a value since they actually work. I have a pile of non-working or slow working ones. I charge them after every use, we haven’t had any die on us yet.

Allows for USB COM Port Emulation
I bought this because the manual said it allows the use of USB COM Port emulation - which I was very happy to find out that it does! I did not use this vendor's COM Port emulation driver because it was unsigned - instead, I used the DataLogic COM Port emulation drive, which for my purposes worked fine. But, once you install the driver, you'll have to visit TeemIStore's website for the USB COM Port emulation scan (090400). After that, testing with ComTestSerial was a snap.I just wanted to put this out there for any others writing scanner software that uses a COM Port.

Excellent Value, Very Fast, Very Configurable
Be sure to download the User Guide attached to the listing, under Technical Specification. It contains all of the barcodes needed to configure the scanner the way you want. Enable or disable various barcodes, trigger mode vs. continuous, whether or not to send any character(s) before or after the result, like a carriage return or a tab after each scan. Even supports custom prefix and suffix strings. This scanner is a LOT faster than the ones I've been exposed to before. My only complaint is that it makes a loud beep whenever it's connected, which includes booting the computer. I haven't tried turning off the "good scan" beep, so that may get rid of it. But I want the good scan beep normally, just not when it first connects. Oh well, I don't reboot very often, so it's only a minor annoyance.

Great quality for the price.
Great scanner for QR codes and UPC codes. Connects fine to a computer or mobile phone. Either device just sees it as a keyboard.A handy use is to print QR codes of passwords, or anything hard or annoying to type. You can scan these instead of typing them in. Beats the on-screen keyboard. Or save the QR codes to your phone and use them to unlock your computer or access your bank account. Print a code for your long WiFi password so guests can get on easily.I've bought three of these so far.

Customer Service for me was top notch!
What I didn't like was that it didn't scan my QR / 2D code out of the box. However, I sent the seller an email and they responded within hours with a quick fix.Thank you!
