Works on Ruff Land Kennel Size Large - Also Crate Sizing, Bolt Sizing, Ratchet Straps Review
I bought these Tie Down Anchors to use on my Large Ruff Land Kennel and they work perfectly! Another review says to use 3/8 diameter by 3/4 inch bolt with these on the kennels but the correct dimensions are 3/8 diameter by 1/2 inch bolts which I can attest to. A review on the Ruff Land site also confirms that as well. No washer is needed; just use a lock washer. This a a very formidable and money-saving solution to the $25 ones that Ruff Land tries to sell. I spent ~$8 for these and ~$4 for bolts and lock washers. ~$12 out the door! Also, my dog is a 75lb 9-month old Pit Bull German Shepherd Mix and a size Large Kennel works great for car travel in case anyone is wondering about kennel size. He can't sprawl his legs full stretch, but he can sit and lay down comfortably and I have piece of mind he won't shake around back there and he is secure. It's hard to post this review anywhere else so I thought I'd mention it here! You're welcome! If you have a giant breed dog, go for the XL Kennel. And if you are using it for airline travel, XL is probably recommended by the airline regulation. But for car travel a Large Kennel will work for most dogs 95lbs or less. Also these Tie Down Anchors are universal on all kennel sizes and work with all kennels from Ruff Land Kennels. Lastly, I used JACO Ratchet Tie Down Straps rated for (1,823 lbs). It's overkill and they are overkill in length at 1in x 15 ft. but once you get your set up you can cut the remaining slack and burn the edges.Update: my dog is now a year old and this kennel is anchored well with these clips still. My dog is 75lbs still. I tied the kennel down from the anchors on the top of the kennel through the bottom-middle anchors in the back of my SUV on both sides of the kennel (strapping it to the other top side of the kennel). This leaves storage space on both sides of the kennel. Your setup may vary depending on the anchors available in your SUV. It is easy to remove this setup when I go to Costco, and add it again to take my dog to the dog park or pet store! I love it!

Perfect for adding extra mounts to pickup bed!
These hooks are just what I needed in my 05 F250. I've found some loads were just too short to strap with the factory tie down locations. Which leads me to my next point, I see a lot of people installing these up high in the bed. I guess if it fits an individual's needs to have them mounted higher go for it. But personally I think mounting them low is better.Several months ago I needed to strap metal roof panels down. The factory tie downs were too high to put force on the load. I had to ask Lowe's for blocks to put under my straps. That's when I decided to look for a solution and found these awesome D hooks. The next time I hauled the roof panel it was so much better! No blocks, just strap and go!Installation: **Hardware is NOT included with these.** I used 1" bolts, 1½ washers on the top side, and 2" washers with a locking nut on the bottom side. I already had the painted nuts and washers that I used, but stainless steel would be a better option. After drilling my holes, I shot some black spray paint from each side, then I put RTV sealant under the D mounts, and between the washers and the D mount. Each D Mount is positioned just after the bed curves up and between the humps. (See photos) the position they are mounted, makes them almost completely flush inside the bed, and is out of reach for standard width plywood. Speaking of plywood that's another example of something you might need to strap from a lower mount point.Pros: *These mounts are very solid. *D hook flips down nearly flush *One mounting hole is easier to install and looks cleaner. *Easy to use and connect a variety of straps/ropes etc. *Small raised bumps under the mount grips the bed and keeps it from turning.Cons: *None. These do everything I need them too at a great price.Final thoughts: I looked at several other options before deciding on these. The other mounts had two mounting holes which I thought was not only ugly, but added complexity in drilling holes. With a single hole you don't have to worry if it's slightly off. Make sure you paint and seal your drilled holes, the last thing you want is your bed rusting at the point where loads mount!

Using for Truck Bed Anchors
I'm installing these on my Tacoma truck bed. I've installed a set prior, years back, but they've since completely rusted out, so this is the replacement. I cannot say it's entirely the fault of the anchors as I needed to drill the hole larger which created unprotected portions. Also it was kept under my bed mat with frequent moisture, sometimes salt water.I honestly wish there was a stainless steel option in this same design, but I cannot find that. With this set, I'm drilling it once more, then giving it a solid paint job to help protect it better. We'll see. Otherwise, useful item.

For me, they were the ticket.
What's to write about? They're D-rings, right? Well, not so fast. I recently bought a 2015 Nissan NV200, and since it wasn't the deluxe trim line, no cargo rings were installed. Easy peezy, right? I'd just go out and buy some cargo rings at a hardware store. That's where the "not so fast" comes in. I live in a town of 90,000 people, but I could not find D-rings with single mounting holes anywhere. But, by gosh, the folks from DC Cargo Mall sell them on Amazon. The NV200 has eight mounting points for cargo rings, and it was a snap to install them, even for a guy like me, with friends who flee in terror when I pick up a hand tool. It's hard to write about quality without putting the rings through failure tests, but they LOOK to be of high quality, and since I'm still getting over the trauma of the lifetime guarantee for Craftsman hand tools being taken away, that's comforting.

Great for a Tacoma!
So I installed a hard tonneau cover on my tacoma and didn’t realize until 1/2 way through the install that my bed rail system would not be useable after the cover was installed. The cover rails mounted over my tacoma bed rail system! Anyway this was a good solution. Added one of these at every location the tonneau rail bolted to my factory bed rail to make a tie down points. For those with a Tacoma, you will understand what I’m saying!
