My 18 year old niece wants to be on Youtube, so I got this to share with her. I have no idea how to start, so no clue why she asked me for help. This little book makes it seem so easy though! It is separated into manageable sections which I can easily go back to if I need a refresher. In the first few chapters it talks about setting up your channel, choosing content, how often to upload and interacting with other Youtubers and your viewers. The most important part to me was the information on how to shoot and pick the camera equipment. I HATE watching videos with bad camera work and lighting(don't we all), so any information I could get to help her avoid that is key. A close second to me information wise was the section on algorithms, using keywords and metadata. How can she be seen by others and how to reach her target audience?? I loved how easy it was to understand and repeat back to her. Now whether she was listening on not is another story. This book was great, a quick read and had super relevant information for what she wants to do. Awesomesauce.

The amount of work that goes into making money on YouTube and the amount of money that YouTube pays per so many views (pay per 1,000 views I think) is amazing to me. I learned about the hardware and software you need to get started. This book puts all the pieces together and makes not only uploading video but becoming a YouTube star doable.This book can't make setting up and running a star YouTube channel easy, but it gives you the tools you need to do it successfully. I someday plan to use my YouTube channel to grow a business. I love to travel, to shoot video, and to mingle and eat with different people and cultures, so those three parts are taken care of. This is a book I have to revisit when I get started uploading videos on and monetizing my channel. Robin Berkeley did a good job on this book.

Easy to follow book

This little gem of a book is very detailed and well worth the read. If you are looking for a step-by-step guide on how to begin, then you have come to the right place. The book is broken down into short, but through sections that give you the steps to follow in becoming a successful YouTuber. The author goes into great detail on not only how to create high-quality content but as well as the technical creative side, how to gain more of a fan base, suggestions on how to keep your channel relevant, and when the best time is to upload new content. If you have given thought to go the YouTube route, then please get your copy of this book.

This book was really great at focusing on the basic principles that don't change in an entertainment medium that changes every day. The author was really good at separating what was transient and what you really need to know to build a longer-lasting Youtube presence. It takes a lot of planning, planning, and planning. With a little luck, you can make it big but it takes a lot of know-how that this book addresses really well. Before you even think of setting out to be successful take a look at this book.

Youtube has made a lot of people very rich and famous. I see them and read about them but never knew it was not rocket science to get started with YouTube until I came across this book! Found this book to be a very easy read, the author hit the nail on the head and explained how anyone can get started with YouTube by starting their own channel. I am considering it for sure, and since I love makeup, maybe it will be about how to do makeup, will see. Good book overall, lots of good useable info.

This book came in handy especially since I was looking for advice on how to start my new tutorial channel. He gives you basic tips and tricks that will catapult your YouTube success. If you don’t know where to start, this book will show you where.

Not for me brought as a gift for Christmas as he’s into gaming and wants to go on YouTube and become famous and all that so I said why not. It’s interesting had a read myself learned a few things definitely worth the money. Thank you.
