The Natural History Museum Interesting Insects

This book is beautiful - arranging the insects in colour order is an interesting idea. The information is a starting point to finding out more about the species shown, and we found ourselves looking up more information, especially about the parasitoid wasps that we did not expect to be so photogenic.A great book to dip into as it doesn't need to be read cover to cover. Adult and 12 year old enjoyed reading this together.

Bought as a gift but sure it will be appreciated as beautifully illustrated.

I got this book for my know-it-all 10 year old nephew. But, when I got it I realized that it's more for the under age 7 or 8 category. It is think with just basic information. I personally found it cute, but my nephew is already into wildlife manuals about insects. So I gave this to a friend with a curious 6 year old. He was delighted!
