TRADING PLACES

I think the item shown in the pictures was promotional material. The disc included was not a picture disc as shown and the case was just a plain bluray case and not fold out as shown. I could have gotten a similar item to the one I received much cheaper elsewhere but I thought I was paying for a special edition. Not returning as I cannot be bothered with the hassle for the sake of the difference but will definitely not purchase similar again.

This is the best transfer of this film yet!!!

4Kリマスターで見開きのスリーブケースも付いた最新盤「大逆転」のBlu-rayですが、まさかまさかの日本語の字幕スーパーと吹き替え(フジテレビ版)が付いてました！！ さらに驚いたのはメイキングなどの特典映像にも日本語の字幕スーパーが付いてます(翻訳もタイトルが「大逆転」ではなく、カタカナで「トレーディング・プレイス」となってること以外は違和感なしのちゃんとした翻訳になっています)。 これで本編のみ収録で日本メーカーの作品への愛情を全く感じない国内盤は一切不要になりました(購入意欲湧かなかったので買ってませんが)。「大逆転」のBlu-rayを購入するなら一択レベルで断然こちらがオススメです！！ P.S.国内盤のBlu-rayはいつか日テレ版の吹き替え(広川太一郎、富山敬)が収録されて再発売されたら購入します。

To start, there are so many big names and well-known actors in this movie!!! There are tons of bit-parts and small roles with actors who would go on to star or costar in their own projects later (James Eckhouse - Beverly Hills 90210, Giancarlo Esposito - The Mandalorian). Trading Places is definetly one of those classics that fall into the "they could never make that today" category. It's story is not only timeless, but each character's arc is well done by some of the time's best. The villains are despicable but funny, and the protagonists learn that being classy doesn't always mean being wealthy. This gem is a holiday staple for us (which is great because the movie covers Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years!).

I love this movie! Hilarious!

The picture quality on this Paramount Presents blu-ray release makes it essential. I was shocked at how beautiful some of it was. One of the best comedies of all time, and more than just a comedy. Before Office Space blended comedy and commentary so well, there was Trading Places. Going back and revisiting 80's comedy is a mixed bag, but this movie is an absolute standout.

Great classic movie and good transfer
