BertucciBertucci A-2T Original Classic Watch

TLDR: great quality quartz watch for a respectable price. Just as tough as Bertucci's other watches but with a sapphire crystal and lithium battery.I bought this watch to replace my Bertucci A2-T (quartz, titatium, mineral crystal, 3-year battery) which I purchased as a graduation gift for myself in 2019. At the time, Bertucci was an unknown brand to me and I was not confident in spending an extra US$60 for the Super Classic's sapphire crystal and 10-year lithium battery. Honestly, I should've went with the Super Classic from the get go but I sure am happy I have one now.Functionally, it's exactly the same as the A2-T: same titanium construction and reliable, silent, quartz movement, very bright lume, same 200m water resistance, screw-down crown, date complication, recessed crystal, and nylon zulu strap. However, the Super Classic's more durable sapphire resists scratches way more than the A2-T's hardened mineral crystal. The 10-year lithium battery also increases my level of confidence in the Super Classic.I had a choice between a more expensive Seiko Presage Matcha limited edition (automatic, mineral, 316L stainless steel [SS] case, leather strap) and the similarly priced Tissot Quickster (quartz, sapphire, black 316L SS case, nylon NATO strap), and Luminox Sea Turtle XS (quartz, mineral, polycarbonate case, rubber strap) but I chose the Super Classic after three months of discernment. You just can't beat the ease of maintenance and accuracy of the movement, durability of the titanium case and sapphire crystal, and simple yet elegantly rugged design of the Super Classic.8-Month Update (March 2022): the matte finish of the A2-T and Super Classic really does show everyday wear and tear but I think it adds character and is very nice to see on a field watch. The scuff marks on the titanium are only visible upon close inspection and I know the watch was designed to take punishment. Nothing to update on the movement, it's silent and runs smoothly and the lume remains as bright as expected :) Interestingly, the thick zulu strap doesn't stink even after almost four years (I put my old A2-T strap [purchased in 2019] on my Super Classic). Drying the strap on a fan or car dashboard after climbs helps a lot.Warranty Update (October 2023): I sent my second Super Classic in for warranty (movement stops arbitrarily and the minute hand ticks when the second hand does) sans strap. Bertucci sent back a completely new watch (sans strap of course) in a little over 2 weeks. Very impressed with the warranty service of Bertucci!

this watched is the perfect nice casual EDC watch. yes i doesn't have automatic movement and its not show-y but its rugged and has the accuracy of quartz. at first i was only looking at automatic watches because i wanted a watch that would last a long time. the down side of quartz usually is that you need to change the battery every 2-3 yrs but with the lithium battery that's not the case especially since instead of a light there's great lume.this watch has everything i was looking for:-sapphire glass-light and strong titanium case-great lume-last a long time between servicing (including changing batteries)-accurate-waterproof enough to shower and go for a swim and not worry about itthe band is the only thing i was worried about cuz i had a timex digital ironman with a strap and it started smelling really bad even when i showered and washed it frequently. this strap its the perfect combo of stiff and pliable and is really well made (the first day or two feels a bit stiff but gets better esp. after a shower). after wearing it for a month everyday it doesnt smell at all.the built in lugs were a new thing to me but make the watch more rugged. the watch case is one solid cast piece of titanium including the lugs. i'm not at all worried about losing it especially since the watch wouldnt even fall off if one broke because of the way the strap is threaded through both lugs.the only complaint i have which is a very small issue is that the matte finish looks great out of the box but shows scratches and kind of highlights them.i have about a 7.5 in wrist and it fits well. i wear it snug on the sixth from end hole. meaning it can get about 1 in longer if you want to wear it on the last hole but it's so easy to switch straps any simple strap will fit.see photos for details of fit and finish including casting marks on side of casing above strap, scratch marks around dial and strap details.overall, I really like this watch and would recommend it without any qualms. I have no stakes in this company and didnt receive anything for writing this review.

nice watch. the crystal is recessed down so it is very difficult to chip the sides. Very easy to read, comfortable. i wear my watch face to the inside of my wrist. i did cut the second loop off the band as it was not needed for my wrist and was in the way for me. the watch is very light and im used to wearing titanium watches. as of this moment, i would give it 8.5 out of 10. the only way this watch could be any better, is if it was 100% made in USA and was solar charged like the echo drive from citizen. overall a great watch and i am impressed!!!

Tal cual lo que esperaba. Un reloj para el día a día, cómodo y por ser de titanio muy liviano, con una batería que en diez años voy a cambiar y cristal de zafiro, es un verdadero calidad precio.

First off let me say this is a nice watch for the money. It’s pretty accurate for a Miyota movement, mine is around + 6 a month. The dial is one of my most legible if not the most that I own. The lume is actually very good for super lumanova, very close to seikos lume. I’ve had a few watches with the same lume formula and it was usually terrible but this one i received was applied very thick so it easily glows all night after a small blast of light. The crystal is definitely sapphire, I’ve already tested it, even if it wasn’t it wouldn’t really matter as the crystal is recessed a good bit below the bezel to protect from shattering the crystal but it’s nice to know it’s sapphire just in case. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of five is the case finishing. My watch I received had these weird dips in the finish, it almost looks like they dip the titanium in some sort of coating and it wasn’t applied evenly in some spots. It’s not really that visible when wearing but it did kind of bring my confidence down about the watch at first but honestly everything else you get for your money out ways it.
