Not bad, but could be better
I am an avid runner, and after crushing my 6th generation ipod nano in a running accident, the timing was such that I had to replace it with the new nano 7th generation. I received the nano directly from Apple several weeks ago, and found out that nobody at that time had yet released a sports armband for it. Searching through Amazon, I found the Ionic ACTIVE Sport Armband was to be released November 1, 2012 so I went ahead and placed a pre-order. It arrived promptly from the vendor (great service, it actually arrived ahead of schedule) and I was ready to give it a try.PROS: The armband is long enough to fit a man with decent - even average - biceps. It seems that many manufacturers assume that only women and rather lean men are going to use a sports armband. The Griffin nano armband is a perfect example of this problem; extremely tight even when let out all the way. The Ionic armband appears to be well made, very flexible, and is comfortable to wear. It does have a compartment for a key, but it must be a very small key (maybe a house key; certainly not a automobile key). The face of the armband is covered in plastic to protect your nano from the elements and from scratching. Access to the controls is a bit iffy, but I think that will be a problem with every armband, regardless of the manufacturer. All in all, not a bad armband.CONS: Only one for me, and that is the placement of the hole for the headphone jack. The hole is in the lower back of the armband compartment, and not at the bottom (where the headphone jack is located on the nano itself). Depending on your headphones, this can be discomforting. I wear Polk sports headphones (very recommended), and the headphone jack is in the form on an "L" rather than straight, and that has caused a few issues. Just imagine placing the end of your headphone jack in the hole on back of the armband, and then pulling the hole down and under until it aligns with the socket on the bottom of the nano.Bottom line for me, is that this is a good armband that could have been made ergonomically better. However, based on the other armbands that have been released to date, I would certainly recommend it.

Works well but has to out itself for charging
This is a very comfortable armband, and has enough strap/velcroing to wear either on your wrist like a wristwatch (a huge one) or your upper arm area. once it's in place it still has a little strech to it so you can move easily. I did notice that I had to adjust it several times to get the closest fit, but once I did that, it stayed in place for several hours. It has a earplug port but to charge it using the lightining connector you have to take it out. Also as a ad-hoc stand, it worked pretty well.My first use of it was to watch a movie on my wrist while I was supposed to be working. the touch screen worked fine through the plastic coating and did not seem to distort the picture significantly (tough to tell on such a tiny screen.)I had to actually pay attention to removing it from the case, the front stuck to the plastic window. but it came out fine once I unstuck it. maybe making sure the front of the ipod is clean would help that.Overall I am satisfied with this. To improve it I would simply flip the expected orientation of the ipod, so that the ports are at the "top" of the opening instead of the bottom. This gives direct access to the charging port and the headphone port.

Good Product
This product is everything as described. The material seems to be durable, plus it looks nice. One thing I was worried about was whether or not it was gonna fit on my arm. No problems there considering that it has two slits for adjustments. I'd say approx. 16-17" max circumference. The slot itself for the ipod is very secure. It has excess lip that folds over the opening to keep your ipod in-place and dry from sweat. It has two open slots for connecting your headphones and lightning charger. Though it does not have slots for the power button or the volume control, I found those to be trivial since you can just easily adjust the volume on the main screen, or press on the cover to turn it on. The clear film that covers the screen does not hinder the touch screen whatsoever although it does tend to stick to the ipod which doesn't bother me too much. Also note that if you have a screen protector on the ipod itself, it may be difficult to take the ipod out because the plastic cover tends to stick to the screen protector on the ipod. An added bonus which I thought was neat was the key holder slot. Not necessary but convenient. Overall I think this is a good product.

just what i wanted
I had a 4th or 5th generation ipod before and i liked my armband for that, but had worn it out and searched for another similar with no success. After that ipod messed up...as apple products tend to do, I got the newest 7th generation nano and was obviously in search for a good band. I absolutely hate that sticky silicone feel and hold of most armbands/cases so when I saw this one, I got excited. The armband is fantastic. Im considering getting another backup one just in case they stop being produced. The plastic screen covering does not hinder the touch screen on the Ipod, the material feels nice and it fits my petite arm. I recommend this band. The only fault I had with the order was having to wait 2-3 weeks after getting my ipod before the armband was even available. So for a while I couldnt get any armnand, but I do not think that is the manufactures fault...more Apple rules Im sure.

Good quality, cheap price!
Just received it a few weeks ago and I've only used it a couple times so far but no complaints! It was shipped right away and I received it WAY before the expected date. The armband is very comfortable against my arm and I LOVE how I can still skip songs and adjust the volume through the screen cover. Quality of the material seems to be decent enough. I would recommend to others! Good quality, especially considering the price!

What I needed!
Good quality.Only one thing puzzled me with it arrived: the outer package was taped, clearly had been open before. Nothing was missing, but I still wonder if it wasn't returned by someone else.

Works but bulky
This works for what I want it to do, but is much bulkier than my previous ipod nano armband which was for a larger ipod nano. Not sure why it needs to be so sturdy when the nano is so little. Also it is hard to use the touch screen through the plastic when your hands are sweaty, as they would tend to be during a workout. I'm going to keep using it because there doesn't seem to be much else out there yet for this generation of ipod nano, but I still wish my older ipod hadn't died so I could use the lighter armband (or that apple had just kept the nano the same size).

Excellent for the gym
Brilliant for the gym, don't have to worry about my ipod getting damaged. However if you don't have small arms it will be very tight.

Good purchase
I bought this after purchasing a clip'n'go cover for my ipod because I felt it would be safer to use in the gym. After the first use the velcro at the end of the strap became unstuck. This piece had not been sewn on as the other velcro had been so I had to restick it and sew it. As this end of the strap takes the most use it would have been better had the velcro been sewn on. Other than that the armband is good although I find it a little difficult to change tracks and volume while the ipod is in the band case.
