The media could not be loaded.  This worked well. I actually used it to grate a black truffle (after seeing a French chef do that with a pricier version of one of these), and it worked really well. As you can see though, the little spoon handle broke. It wasn't worth the return due to the spoon, but I do wish I had it. Also, I needed it right away and didn't want to wait to receive it a new one. I am going to try it with ginger too and will update this review when I do. If the spoon handle were not broken, I would give it a 5. The packaging (just a little bit of bubble wrap), was not too great so I am not surprised that the spoon broke.

I like limes and lime juice. I use them with considerable frequency. My past arrangement was cutting the lime into four pieces and squeezing with my fingers. That took a lot of finger work to get the lime juice into what I was cooking. Then I found this device. I was not sure it would work, but it was cheap enough to give it a try. It works. I still cut the lime into four pieces and rub it against the bumps at the center of the device. It does a good job of juicing and then the juice can be easily poured where I want it. It is real progress, and at a very modest cost.

I had one of these a long time ago and have been looking for a replacement. I have grated a shallot, lots of garlic and more ginger than I can recall. The little spoon is delicate, so use care when holding. The little brush makes sure you will not lose bit of what you grated. Wonderful and easy to clean. Does not retain the odor of garlic, either.

Okay. I'm a gadget geek. Years ago I picked up a metal grater in Japan. It was viciously sharp but it was a blood letting cleaning ginger strings out of it. So I replaced it with a small ceramic grater. Loved it, but this on has a larger reservoir so I can grate more without stopping to empty and clean.This is stable even for my large hands and macerates easily. I use it for ginger and daikon primarily, but I've used it with carrot for color and zucchini. Celery paste is an interest garnish as well. And regular radish as an add to salad dressing.So yeah. I like this little beastie.

I was excited about this ginger grater, and happy with the look and feel of the product. But I realize that I don't use this often, this is an extra tool that can easily be replaced by using a regular knife.

Better than I expected - this design is easy to use and it is safe. There is nothing sharp on the device. I peeled apiece of ginger and rubbed it over the bumps. Voila! Perfect to use in my recipe.

This was so easy to use. I love how the ring around the grate collects the juice and it has pour spouts. It comes with a little brush to remove any pulp you are struggling to get off the grate. Now I can get that punch of ginger flavor without any of the fibrous pulp. Highly recommend for ginger lovers

This is the best grater I own. Very easy to grate ginger & garlic , coming with very useful brush & spoon also. A must in every household

Love this big sized grater which is not readily available in other big brands or retailers. Slightly heavy because of its ceramic material and size. Very sturdy and functional. Comes with spouts at both sides for ease of pouring any liquid after grating. Also comes with a little brush and ceramic spoon for scooping off the grated matter. This is more than a regular ginger grater - you can grate daikon, apple, garlic, etc. Glad to find this little kitchen tool - definitely a great (grate) helper!
