This has been a great harness. My Toy Poodle is about 10 pounds, maybe 11 on some days. This fits pretty good, gave it a 4 becuase although it fits good there is loos-ish gap in the front, which hasn't been a big issue. Also, the velcro strap seems to already not be staying together. There's a 2nd line of security with the clip, which makes me feel a lot better. She seems pretty comfy in it so down the line if the velcro gets too bad I'll probably just try to put more on or something. All in all a good harness for tiny dogs.

After trying all of these confusinng and difficult to put on harnesses, this one came across my search. If I have to spend too much time gettinng my dog into a harness contraption, I am not going to use it. The ACKERPET Comfort Step in dog harness is exactly as advertized. You rest it on the floor, position your dog paws in each hole, and lift the harness up and around its back. Easy peasy. Clips together on the back. My dog didn't even notice I put it on him! It also is sturdy. Very pleased with the fit and fabric but mainly pleased at how simple it was to put on for the very first time!

Ok, let me do two sizes and three colors at once here, because my reviews vary by harness.First, the small gray one. I think it was small... This was the first one I bought, because Larry was a constantly growing puppy. To this harness I give a 3 star rating. He managed to get out of the gray harness 3 times because the clip is small and pops open if he tugs hard enough. The velcro doesn't stand a chance against a pulling dog once the clip is popped. The harness did look very nice and fit VERY well for a while though, so overall I liked it enough to come back here once he outgrew it. It never choked him on walks.Next I bought the green (medium?) one. I actually think color-wise this one is the best for him. This one fits his adult size absolutely perfectly, and the clip is much stronger than the one on the smaller harness. This one I'd give a 4-star rating for because now it does choke him if he pulls hard enough. He hasn't escaped from it at all though and it seems sturdy and easy to clean.Lastly, the purple one (same size as green one). I bought this one to mix up the green all the time so I can ocassionally wash his harness without missing a walk. The shape of the purple one is for some reason more angular than the green or gray. It does not choke him as much as the green one does, bit it still does a little. It has the same sturdy clip as the green one and is inescapable. 4 stars because of the choking.So two 4 stars and a 3 stars tells me to give 4 stars overall. I highly recommend this harness, though maybe not for the "no choke" aspect as much. It's very comfortable seeming and looks great on the dog. Seems to stand up well to the abuse my little monster gives it. All around a nice harness.

The design of this harness works very well for my dog, who is narrow shouldered and tends to pull. It’s also really easy to use. The problem is that the Velcro stopped working after only 2-3 months, so I can’t recommend it.

I've purchased several harnesses for my dog and none of them have fit as well as this one! I've also researched countless harnesses over the past couple of years, since we got him. When I saw this one, I noticed that it had several benefits that I had been looking for, namely, an adjustable strap, which if the others ones I've bought had this, they would have fit! I'm able to adjust this harness for a perfect fit and I love the fact that it only has one D-ring to attach the leash, when all of the others have had two, making it more challenging for me. There's a longer velcro strip, which also makes the harness more adjustable. The harness is lower in the front as well, and therefore does not in any way restrict my dog's neck. The fabric is sturdy and I love the pattern, he looks sharp in his new "vest" as we like to call it.

My dog weighs 9lbs. I have tried many harnesses and they haven’t fit well. A small is sometimes too big or too small. A medium is too big. XS rarely fits. This one I like. It has a small “V” in the front, a small fits well and the no choke feature is better for my dog.

The dog has a tendency to pull, so I prefer using a harness instead of a collar, to avoid unnecessary pressure on his neck. The dog doesn't seem to mind it. It's relatively easy to put and take off, and has enough adjustment to customize a good fit. The one small issue I have is that the back and front look very similar, so it's easy to get them confused when you are in a hurry, and you wind up putting the harness on backward, which is why I gave it 4 stars. To avoid putting the harness on backwards, you have to pay attention and make sure that the logo is on the front.
