Poorly packaged, arrived damaged and is a less than perfect design
The item is heavy but arrived in a very flimsy box. It is not an Amazon box so the problem is not with them but the manufacturer or seller. My unit was chipped and scratched up. Some chips were down to the bare metal. I've reordered a replacement. The functionality is good. It feels sturdy but has a few quirks. Not sure I get the heavy grit sand paper finish on the foot rest. Its too coarse and if you want to take off your shoes to relax, as I often do, forget about it with this. It'll tear up you socks as well so you've got to put something over the surface. Makes little sense and is overkill for its intent. The tubular construction feels thick enough to last. The failure, if any...is likely going to be the welds on the base or the rather small hooks that attach the oversized and heavy foot rest to the standing tube.Changing the height requires the ability to get on your knees or bend at the waist, watch your back... and lift the rather stout footrest which is constructed of angled heavy gauge metal and lifting it up and out then finding the next set of holes aligning them and pushing it down and in. That isn't going to be easy for everybody. Especially crawling around under a tight space like a desk.In terms of quality construction time will tell. Its premium priced at $100 which seems expensive given the simple design and minimum metal parts used.

Great idea. Very sturdy but intended for an office stand-up desk. Didn't fit for me.
This footrest is sturdy metal and has a handle so can be easily moved. Also the level of the footrest can be easily changed. I realized after I got it and looked at the vendor's website that this footrest is designed for a commercial stand-up deck in an office or warehouse setting. I'm retired. I wanted to put it under a table with cross bars and unfortunately it just didn't fit for me. The box it came in was severely damaged so I put it in recycling. I didn't know that Amazon had changed their return policy (boo Amazon!) and so I had to go out and buy a box ($14) to return it in. It was really a hassle for this elderly woman to box the heavy return up and get it to a UPS store. This makes me less excited to order anything from Amazon.

Please wear shoes with this
It's nice if you are wearing shoes. I purchased it for home use where I am always barefoot. I lightly scratched my foot on its underside when placing my feet up onto it. Also, it needed to be anchored against the wall for proper use. I gifted this product to my landlord. No issues reported thus far. peace out

Highly recommend for standing desk work set up
Great foot rest, highly recommend especially if you use a standing desk with an elevated chair/stool. It’s one of the few foot rest I found that accommodates that extra height required with proper ergonomics and is also sturdy. Although it is on the pricier end I was able to catch a deal on Amazon prime day and it’s seriously made all the difference to my standing desk set up. 5/5 on ergonomic and sturdiness. Comfort is fine esp if you work in a public office or space because the textured anti slip platform provides a level of safety however I rate comfort 4/5 because I use this at home and it’s not as comfortable putting your bare feet on it (need to wear socks or house shoes).

Amazing product for my daughter with dwarfism
My daughter's feet dangle and I have been told that is not good for her. This product is the best for her. I have searched for years. This is stable and adjustable and easily portable throughout the house so she can use it with different chairs. Love this!

Vastly improved comfort at my drawing table
Mildly unstable, still worth it compared to other options.

Wide range of heights should suit most everyone. Weld quality poor.
This is working out great for me. I have my stool at its highest position, so the foot rest is second notch from the top but still very stable. I like being able to rest my feet on it and use that anchor to pull myself forward in the chair, rather than having to grab my desktop and use the poor leverage that offers. It is easy to put together, no tools required, took me less than a minute. The angle is a tad too much for me but I make it a point to flex my feet by raising my heels periodically. As others have mentioned, the top is covered with sandpaper. It does not cause any more damage to your soles than walking on pavement does, and if you keep your feet flat and still won't really matter. If you are prone to fidgeting, then you will want to cover it with something soft. There is also a strip of sandpaper on the bottom of the stand that help keeps it in place on carpet, but that may damage a hardwood floor. After using for a bit over two years, the welds that hold the base onto the vertical part have cracked due to general use. I have at no time put excessive weight on the footrest, at most using it to pull my chair closer to the desk.
