Simple to use. Comes with battery which is a pleasant surprise since I didn't expect it. Works great. Only turns on when I clip onto the instrument/or just clip into anything so no need to turn it on or off. I just got the thing so no issues with it so far. Will see how it goes but for now five stars.

This little guitar tuner works great for perfectly tuning your guitar with little effort. Who likes to play their guitar out of tune? That is right, nobody that’s who. With this wonderful little clip on guitar tuner you never have to play guitar out of tune again. It is so easy to use, all you do is clip it to the head stock of your guitar and turn it on to guitar and then play the open strings, I prefer to go from the top E to the high E in sequence. I do want to mention here in this review while I am thinking about it is that this thing is very small. To me that is a big plus because I just keep it in my guitar case when me and my guitar are out and about and when I am at home I just leave it clipped to the guitar. This sure beats out the days when I had to tune the guitar the old fashioned way that is for sure. The bottom line is that this is a great little addition to any guitar players musical tool box and I am sure that if you decide to purchase this little gadget you will not regret that decision. I own more guitars than I would care to admit and have been using just the tuner that's built into my guitar effects pedal for my electric guitars and have just been tuning my acoustic ones by ear, for better or for worse. I got this clip on tuner to more accurately tune my acoustic guitars without having to guess.This clip on tuner is extremely easy to use. You just clip it onto the guitar and start plucking. The tuner automatically turns to display the note that's being plucked. In terms of accuracy, this guitar tuner is very good. I used this to tune an acoustic electric guitar that I have. I first tuned it using this tuner. After tuning with this tuner, I then plugged in the electric acoustic guitar into my effects pedal and used the built in tuner of the pedal to verify my tuning. This clip on tuner is pretty much spot on when I verified it with the effects pedal tuner.Overall, I really like this clip on tuner. It is accurate, very small and easy to use. She says…When I was in bands, my guitarists would have loved this. It’s like a “Smart Reader”. It only turns on once on the guitar or instrument and it is color coded for accuracy. Once removed from the instrument, it shuts off automatically saving battery life. Though I’m not a guitarist, my brother in law plays the mandolin and I believe he will find this really handy for his tuning needs!He says…This little thing is just too cool and I am overly excited I got this for my youngest brother to use with his Mandolin. There is no on/off switch, no buttons, nothing. But that is the beauty of it. Not to mention it does not power on unless attached to an instrument, saving the battery from any drainage. The display unit part folds up and down and clicks into place as well as rotates left and right through click positions. Allowing you multiple angles to read the display from as it shows you in red and orange that it is out of tune and green when just right. I had bought another similar product for him and his Mandolin, as his bday is coming up. But the other is going to be returned now as this to me is just a very nice unit. This is a great simple clip on tuner for your stringed instruments.All the instruments I have used with this tunes them perfectly.It is almost impossible to tune an instrument in a crowded room or a room that is noisy.Using a clip on tuner only picks up the sound of the instrument you are tuning.I have a guitar, mandoline, and violin that I tune with this and have not had a problem with it correctly tuning my instruments.I like how this tuner folds and makes it compact for easy storage inside your instrument case.I received this product to review for free for my honest and unbiased opinion.All views in this review are completely my own.If this review helped you at all please press the button -helpful- below.
