Great to thin mucus; 100 count is good deal
Super safe, all it does is thin mucus which is what I needed (in addition to a nasal steroid like Nasocort which stops most post nasal drip, and a daily antihistamine like cetirizine or loratadine), because I was keeping my husband up snorting and trying to get that thick residual post nasal drainage up or down. With mucinex twice a day it is MUCH less of a problem to me. And getting 100 tabs for about $20 is the cheapest I could find anywhere. I always recommend to my patients when their allergies flareup and cause drainage or when they have a bad cold and mucus gets thick. Mucinex DM has the additional benefit of a safe cough suppressant. Be very careful not to get Mucinex-D if you have high blood pressure, even if it’s borderline, because the “D” stands for Decongestant and it will spike your pressure up (so for all of you with high blood pressure, avoid any cold products with phenylephrine or pseudoephedrine in tablet or liquid form.. instead use Afrin 12-hour decongestant nasal spray ONLY FOR TWO DAYS AT MOST though. Please don’t use for more than 3 days. It’s super safe and effective for bad sinus/nasal congestion though! Just stick to 2 days please

I can breathe again
Fast, effective and returns us to the land of functional individuals. It's kept me from developing more than a half dozen cases of a sinus infection. Yay.Don't try to take without liquid, it WILL dissolve slightly in your mouth and your taste buds will die an excruciating death. Not really, but it tastes horrible which is why you Never buy the liquid version of Mucinex;that is a form of violation of the Geneva convention on torture.Take for sinus issues, not for flavor.

My Go To Brand Of Medicine For Chest Congestion For Over 20 Years
When they stopped making the medicine I used to use for chest congestion 20-30 years ago, the pharmacist suggested trying Mucinex. I was not impressed with the liquid form and could not stand the aftertaste. When the pill form was introduced I immediately switched to it and have not looked back.As I age, now 70+, it does seem that I have to take them longer to get the effect I used to get but I believe that to be my metabolism and not the medicine. I do like this smaller size to get the 1200 mg as it is easier to swallow 2 smaller pills than the larger one. One thing many people, including some of my relatives realize, it takes different amounts of time for each person to begin working but you will definitely know when it kicks in. I used used this for a period of 14 days in June and it took until the 4th or 5th day before I really got the full effect. Each person is different but it definitely works.

Do not use if you take Trazodone
I purchased this product to help me sing better, as the mucus in my lower throat can be heard in my vocalist recordings. It worked well for this, which pleased me. However, I take Trazodone, and this is counter-indicated for the Guaifenesin in this product. Quoting counter-indication fact sheet:"Using dextromethorphan together with traZODone can increase the risk of a rare but serious condition called the serotonin syndrome, which may include symptoms such as confusion, hallucination, seizure, extreme changes in blood pressure, increased heart rate, fever, excessive sweating, shivering or shaking, blurred vision, muscle spasm or stiffness, tremor, incoordination, stomach cramp, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Severe cases may result in coma and even death."I experienced blurred vision that prevented me from focusing my eyes on objects. I also found my ability to walk reduced.Alas, I had to cease taking this product to control mucus.

Provides relief with 12 hr formula- it's amazing.
Nothing compares to Mucinex, I've tried cheating out and getting another brand or the off label and each time was disappointed. The 12 hour time release formula Mucinex makes works and doesn't require frequent doses. Anytime I feel a bit of chest congestion this is one of the only things that helps.I'm not sure if Mucinex uses some kind of magic fairy dust (kidding of course) but their brand formula is truly magical, I have yet to find or hear about another product that can compare, either they don't have the time release formula or it doesn't work like Mucinex. The great results do cost you, Mucinex can be pricy too. It's absolutely worth the extra cost to have reliable relief. Buying in bulk on Amazon is great and quite a bit cheaper than most.
