Ageless Beauty the French Way: Secrets from Three Generations of French Beauty Editors

3 Generations of Natural Beauty
I purchased a used copy and although it contained some handwritten notes and underlining, that did not bother me. The book is written by Clémence von Mueffling, the granddaughter of Régine Debrise, and daughter of Lorraine Bollore. These three French beauty editors share their tips and secrets for obtaining ageless care of skin, hair, and body and so much more. The book is extremely well organized and although the copyright is 2018 the information is still applicable today. Many products are shared and the narration is interesting and chocked full of ideas. I have always been fascinated how the French women just seem to have a special aura and I wanted to know how they achieve it. This book gave me good insight. Wish I would have found this book sooner.

Mostly about skin care and flogging certain products-a bit boring and not the "secrets" as advertised

Great, simple, easy and clear guide - guidance at every age
I like how this book not only focuses on specific skincare and beauty items, but they have recommendation for the three main stages of life - basically young, middle age, mature. I primarily bought this book for the specific brand and item suggestions for things like cleansing, moisturizer, etc... and ended up walking away with much much more. I've been a life long fan of French products like Avene and Bioderma (great to see they do recommend them!) as well as more luxury house skincare, which they also recommend. Non-French brands are mentioned, but I was surprised by the hair care section as well! End chapters are on basic French lifestyle and recommendations, something I'd like to do, but at this time cannot.I decided to research more in depth the product recommendation and familiarize myself with brands not often sold in America and made changes to my skincare regime. I had been trying the Korean or Asian skincare method and realized despite all my efforts following their guidance my skin was skin dry, dehydrated, and I spent so much money on products that were really not helping. Going back to a much more simpler routine helped save my moisture barrier and brought on the care I really needed. The recommendations in this book are easy but rock solid. Despite being in my 40's and being in the skincare game for 20+ years even I learned something new.
