Great fo uneven concrete basement floors
This tile is a great answer for an uneven surface like a concrete basement floor or to brighten up dingy laundry room. It's easy to install and remove and replace the one tile my husband spilled paint on. Do NOT use harsh cleaning products on these tiles and be sure to purchase a few extra tiles for oopses!

Wonderful product. Couldn't be easier to installed.
Great product. Easy to install, no glue or adhesive needed. The tile fit together like a giant jig saw puzzle. Trim with a carpet or craft knife.

great idea but not with it
I did my kitchen in these and loved it until a month went by & i realized they just don't mop clean. Maybe the flat surfaced ones are better but these are impossible I even went out and bought a steam mop thinking that'd help but oh no. Unless you like to scrub on your hands and knees (and still not get a clean new look) I;d not recommend them. I bought them because they looked great and were made from recycled material and easy to install. I had to buy them again to finish out an entry connected to the kitchen and they didn't match at all.

Don't ever spill anything!
While these floors are extremely durable and easy to install, they are beyond difficult to clean. Aside from the fact that the manufacturer suggests cleaning worth only water or a file mixture of vinegar and water, the texture and beveled edges of this flooring provide the perfect surface for dirt to settle into. Using a simple mop will not clean the crevasses between tiles, nor will it clean into the deep texturing. I purchased a Bissell wet/dry vacuum with attached scrub brush but this does not work either. Only a handheld scrub brush will thoroughly scrub the tiles, and they must be cleaned one tile at a time because the interlocked tiles are not water-tight!! If you spill even a small amount of liquid on these tiles, the liquid will track along the cracks between the tiles, seep beneath the tiles and the criss-cross pattern on the backs of the tiles will pull the liquid along underneath the flooring. So a small spill requires cleaning the tops of the tiles, lifting the tiles and cleaning their undersides, including cleaning out all of the puzzle-like grooves where the tiles interlock, and finally cleaning the subfloor!! A few ounces of liquid on the floor will require pulling up at least four of the tiles surrounding the spill! I have a toddler and a couple of old dogs who sometimes have accidents in the house. This is why we purchased this type of flooring. We thought it would be durable and easy to clean. Instead, I am on my hands and knees scrubbing floors and pulling up tiles (usually 8-10 tiles at a time) several times a week. This adds literally HOURS to my household cleaning every week. Liquids are not the only problem! Over time (mine has been in place for 10 months), fine dirt and particles also work their way beneath the tiles. In addition to all of this, they need to be sealed with wax frequently in high traffic areas. I absolutely HATE these floors.
