Bought this step-up wring as the product is based on a 82mm filter set, however the most important piece for me was the magnetic lens cap - love this idea. However a few items to be aware of... Once I placed the step-up wring (threaded) on to my Nikon AF-S Nikon 70-200MM F2.8 GII ED lens I could no longer put the lens hood on without removing the step-ring. Once removing the step-up ring putting the ring back on with the lens hood on was challenging to say the least. Love the concept and magnetic lens hoods etc. but just not a perfect setup especially with the lens hood issue.

Build quality is good. When not using a lens hood it works great. However, when you do use a lens hood, you can't grip the edges to pull it off, and to put it on you almost have to drop it in and hope it doesn't land sideways and hit the lens. I'm thinking of attaching something to the outside of the lens cover than I can grab on to when using a hood. Also, when used with a filter, it's often hard to pull off just the lens cover without taking the filter also.
