ASUS Webcam C3 USB camera with 1080p 30 fps recording, beamforming microphone for better live-streaming video and audio quality, and adjustable clip that fits various devices

Wanted an imroved webcam for use with old laptop and newer PC. After looking at various options I decided on this ASUS one as it is from a 'known' company and met the immediate specs I wanted - HD, 30fps in particular. I got fed up looking at products that boasted FHD/4K/zoom etc but then in the small print (or reviews) these 'fantastic' resolutions were at the expense of fpsand could not achieve HD at 30fps when streaming.The base of the asus is worthy of mention. It can open out and clip on a screen, left flat so the camera can sit on a desk and it has a standard 1/4 thread for tripod use.One missing feature is a way to block the camera apart from unplugging it. I may add something myself (eg 3D print a clip) but for me this is not too important.On my win 10 machines it was plug and play and the results seem good. Overall I am pleased. But may still look for cam with better features for youtube uploads.

This webcam was way down my list of potentials when I was looking for one for our son. But I read up on reviews it had been given by other Amazon buyers and spoke to some of my fellow Asus site members and they all spoke highly of it (those who had one). So we gave it a go and simply haven't looked back. Our son is delighted with it, it has been working 100% 5* since day one and continues to do so even on a copper broadband connection (we had fibre when we bought it) the picture quality is superb and it's so easy to install.Recommend to all who are interested in one!

Excelent camera using it with my new Mac Mini for Zoom, Skype and WhatsApp calls. Great sound quality as well with built in mic.

Good camera for the price. Very good microphone. Overall image quality is ok, but do not expect Logitech c920 quality. Depending on lighting the image can be too blue. But will do the job for zoom and skype meetings.

I ‘had to’ buy a web cam as my Asus G14 laptop doesn’t have one(!) I bought this as it was half the price of the Logitech C920 and I trust Asus as a quality brand. It hasn’t disappointed, does the job well and is ‘plug and play’, far better image quality than built in web cams so no complaints.
