It dropped my dbs
LBZ, 64mm turbo and straight piped…was awesome, but grew tiresome, especially after buying a TT. This muffler works wonders to cut the noise but keep the sound. Still a truck, but not waking up the wife, kids and neighborhood when I leave the house while it’s still dark. Worth it.

Correct size, fit and quality made
Fit and quality appear good, did not drop decibels from standard mbrp normal muffler, just changed the tone…

Wow! Should have done it a long time ago.
My 2006 Dodge 5.9 Cummins has had 4 inch straight pipe on it for the last few years. It's not my daily driver. Kinda fun around town, but after 2 hours of towing heavy trailers it gets really rough on the ear drums, so I bought my truck the MBRP for Christmas. Wow what a difference. First thing I noticed is how much smoother the engine sounds. It's across the board a more pleasant experience: In the cab, standing next to it while idling, windows down while on the throttle next to block wall...I'd say it's about 3-3/8" clear ID through bore. In addition to that arrayed around the ID are 3/8" tall nozzles that channel some of the gas into the expansion chamber. Effective flow area is that of about a 4 inch pipe. The picture makes it appear that each row is taping down to a smaller ID, but this is due to foreshortening of the image. Each successive row appears to be the same final inside diameter as the first row. The muffler is non-directional (same on both sides). 30 inch OAL, and 6 OD of the quieting chamber. Also the chamber is hollow. There is no noise damping media inside it.Still sounds and flows WAY better than a stock 5.9 Cummins

Great option for reducing sound over the standard MBRP muffler that came with turbo back kit
I have a 6.0L powerstroke with 4" turbo back. The quiet tone muffler was easy to install as I just swapped with the standard MBRP muffler that came with the exhaust kit. Muffler is same length at connections and same diameter as standard MBRP muffler, but quiet tone muffler portion is about 4" longer is all. This exhaust still has a throaty sound at acceleration, but got rid of the loud thumping rumble. Also no drone sound at freeway speeds. I really like the mufflers tone and would recommend it, especially if you tow a lot. I did give it 4 stars however due to workmanship. There were particals that rattled inside of the muffler that I could not remove. However, everything visually including exterior welds looked to be good.

Nice sound, quite
I had a straight pipe on my 2006 5.9 dodge 7" tip. After 7 years of straight pipe and being mr. Cool guy im so happy i went with this one i would say half the sound at idle which is a big deal for guys with 5.9s yes you can order at the drive though, or i can load my camper by myself which is back and forth for a few times without the headache, the turbo is alot louder which i do like at high rpms in the get up and go. Overall this is great and i love it

You can have best of both worlds
I like many others let my inner teenager come out when I decided to straight pipe my 2007 LBZ Duramax about 2 weeks ago. While you can’t help but smile ear to ear when you do something like that, reality kicks in real quick when you put your wife and 13 month old in the pickup. After doing a lot of research I figured this would probably be the best bet. Immediately you could tell that this “tames” the drone and loud rumble, which in turn made the wife happy. But, you still get a little bit of that famous Duramax whistle at cruising speeds, and enjoy the full force of it when you really push the pedal down.100% would recommend this product

Worth the money!
Was a bit skeptical from youtube videos it seemed not to quiet down enough but purchased anyways. And glad I bought it! My truck is now quiet at idle still has a nice tone when I get on it almost a bit too quiet tbh but maybe once it breaks in it may get a bit louder. But so far I am very pleased with the result. My vehicle is a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9 cummins with 2nd gen swap from Fleece and 4in exhaust. Unfortunately I can no longer hear my turbo whistle at idle but being able to cruise at highway speeds and be able to hear my self think is worth it! Lol

Nice rumble
Purchased a mbrp exhaust system. It was way too loud and drones. I purchased this muffler to tone down the sound and drone. Worked great and sounds good.

Quiet
The muffler on my 2010 duramax sounds the same as the factory muffler. Very quiet in the cab and no drone at all. I tried it with the straight pile and at 1500 rpm’s there was a low drone sound. Once the muffler was added it was gone can only hear the engine purr and the tires. When you start the vehicle it has a lower noise but sounds good and you can hear the turbo. I would buy it again and recommend it to anyone who wants to quiet their truck down. Very happy with the purchase.

Knocked Some Decibels out
Installed on 5.9 cummins, it sure knocked some Dcb out of the exhaust. But not quiet. However I did install one on a 6.7 Powerstroke and it worked great.
