Tough nailer but leaves big holes
Use for installing ext. And int. Trim. Good nailer but kind of heavy and leaves big holes in work. Tough nailer though I dropped off the roof onto a set of concrete stairs and it didn't even phase it just left a scuff on the top.

Great tool but...
I will start off saying I am a huge Grex fan. I have their pin nailer and brad gun. Both of those nailers are great. The green buddy is the best nailer on the market of any type of gun. The pin nailer goes up to 2" and is amazing, shoots a perfect pin and doesn't mar the wood. I had really high hopes for the 15 gauge. Right out of the box I was impressed with the build quality. I soon became upset though. I knew it was a heavier gun but this thing weighs twice my Hitachi and Senco finish nailers. Also the case it comes in looks very cheap and almost industrial. Its a cheap grade plastic with 4 cheap clips holding it closed. The other nailers had nice green heavy duty slide clips keeping it well secured. If you don't save your cases then you won't mind. The other interesting thing I found was that this gun takes both 16 & 15 gauge nails. Maybe it said it in product overview/information but I didn't see it. It did have and interesting rail system. Where you put the nails seems very tight. The rail just barely lets you slide 2 1/2 finish nails into it. It actually looks like it can only accommodate 2" but with some patience the 2 1/2" do fit. The rail is nice quality though, its the first metal one I have every seen. I believe its aluminum. It is also not only angled from the front to the back side of the gun because but it is also angled from the right to the left side of the gun. So when you go to hold it perpendicular to the work its uncomfortable because its in such and awkward position. Its not something pictures really show but very important. With that said the whole gun feels like great quality. I love the handle grip, I love the rail material, love the rhino lined bottom and main body cap or air ejection area. The casting is also very nice and solid. The tip is really nice, it shoots a really nice hole. It doesn't give you the same hole as say a Hitachi which in my opinion leaves a huge hole for painters to fill. The trigger feels nice and simple. It comes with 4 hex wrench's for breaking down the whole tool which is nice as well. As far as the price I feel it is justified for build quality and no other gun on the market comes even close. I have tried them all, Hitachi NT65 (old & new models), Senco 42 XP, DeWalt DWFP72, Bostitch N62, & Makita. I will say the Senco is still my favorite other than my original Hitachi made in Japan. The Makita is decent build quality as well but still not as durable as this Grex.In closing, if you don't mind the weight and the foreign rail system this gun is for you. If your a stair guy and only using for that purpose this might be for you then. But if your a production finish carpenter nailing base and crown moldings all the time this thing is just a heavy weight your dragging around and I cant see you enjoying the tool. One thing is for sure and that its that Grex really builds high quality products.

Save your money
I wanted to like Grex, but I just don’t. I bought this gun because I something a little more professional, this gun is not it. First I don’t mind the heft that others have mentioned. My big issue with this gun is that on the second trim job I did with this I tried to install a bamboo stair nose and the pins just folded. Completely destroyed a $50 stair nose, but worse than that it destroyed the driver on the gun. I replaced the part and it worked for a little while, then on some white oak.... folded more nails and stopped worked. This thing is junk. Maybe I had just gotten a lemon, but at the same time that I purchased I bought the grex 23 gauge pin nailer. It says I can do up to 2 inch pins....Nope it too folded pins. Combined I spent over $500, I will never in a million years buy another pin nailer, bositich, hitatchi work just fine for a fraction of the price.

3 1/2 star quite a bit better than average for this type of gadget
Does a good job at 95 psi in moderately hard wood. Can double fire if not pressed and released with a positive motion. Light weight but the exhaust is strait back and not adjustable. Can be oiled but really need an oiler. Unfortunately there is no provision in the case to leave it attached for storage! Except for the exhaust and oiler problem would have been a 5.
