Nice quality, well made.
This is much too thick & cumbersome to be a hotpad, but will make a serviceable trivet to protect your surfaces. The thick hide will ensure that it's around for the long haul.

Good for hot pad
I love the leather and the excellent t quality of this. It may relax in Time, but is currently too stiff due to leather thickness, that I can’t use it to grip or use as a pot holder to grab hot pans or dishes out of the oven or microwave.

Believe these will last a lifetime
I’ve purchased 4 of these for Christmas gifts for my 2 grown boys. I wish they were made from suede, but unable to find such. I’ve had suede before and loved them. (I accidentally left them in my divorce. 😢) Hopefully my “cooking” young men will love these for many years to come. We’ll see? These are beautifully made and seem to be very durable plus very nicely packaged. May not even need wrapping paper. I would strongly recommend any serious cook to try them. I bet you’ll be glad you did.

Good flexibility, insulation, and size.
This hot pot holder/pad is pretty flexible right out of the packaging and should become more so with use. It provides good heat insulation and works equally well as a pot holder or as a pad to protect counter and table tops from warm cookware and serving dishes.

Very stiff and not pliable
It is so stiff, although I have tried to work on it and make it softer, it is still so stiff that I can't get it around the handle of my iron skillet or around the side of a baking sheet or pan. I will continue to try to make it more pliable, but it is not at this point.

Strong and Classy
These are so durable, with eye-pleasing classic style! Great as hot pads on the table, or to lift heavy and big-handled dishes from the oven. They aren't as flexible as cloth, so won't work for lifting lighter or smaller handled pans, etc. I use them to protect my counters from my cast iron, to lift my dutch ovens, and to have a neutral color on my table for dinner.

Great Leather Hot Pad (Trivet)
This is a leather hot pad-Primary Use. Or a heavy cast iron handle holder-Occasional. It doesn't have the flexibility to be a true general pot holder. It has material sandwiched between the leather which insulates against counter-tops. This doesn't allow it to wrap around handles unless it's a heavy cast iron handle. The weight will make it conform. I would give it 4.5 stars since it's truly not a dual use for everything.

Four Stars
Better used as a trivet but very good quality.

Great quality for value
Quality wise is good, great insulator but not suitable as pot holder is quite thick and stiff....
